A very important question!

Not really. I'm a bit of a scaredy cat. Just add that under "prude" on my list. :D

LMFAO

*whine*

Be nice to me damn it!

I am terrified of heights, and I don't like giving up my control...and rollercoasters incorporate both.

I once decided to ride the Beast at Kings Island in Cincinnati. I was determined. I asked my husband at the time (now EX), "Is that how high it goes?" and pointed to the top. "Yes", he replied. What he neglected to tell me is that the fucking rollercoaster dropped into a big fucking VALLEY and it was actually twice as high as it looked from where we were standing.

I thought I would die. I screamed like it was the end of the world.

I didn't talk to him for a week.

Now I tell him I can forgive him for anything, even for all the cheating and lies that went on in our marriage. Anything EXCEPT not telling me the truth about that damn rollercoaster!

Yeah, I'm petty. But it scared the FUCK out of me, so I feel justified. :D

When I was growing up, my relatives frequently took me and my cousins to an amusement park that featured four different roller coasters. I loved it! After spending the morning in the water park, swimming and going down waterslides, we stuffed ourselves full of corn dogs and cotton candy, and let the wind from the roller coasters dry our hair. My favorite was the one that included two big loop-dee-loops. We always stayed late.

Except for one time when we were forced to go home early. The park closed in early afternoon that day because of an accident on one of the older roller coasters. A girl my age had, while the coaster car was at the apex of a hill and about to plummet down the biggest decline, wriggled out of the restraints to stand up.

Naturally, she lost her balance and fell to her death some hundred or so feet below, landing in a goat pen underneath a sign that said, "Have a Nice Day!"

I LOVE roller coasters. The bigger, the better. And I never try to wriggle out of the restraints.

Loopy in Lagoon,
Ellie

My ex-boyfriend and I went to an amusement park last summer and he got me on 2 rollercoasters and this sadistic thing called the Power Tower where they take you up about 275 feet and then suddenly drops you. I swear I thought I was going to die. Never again!

Ah! Cedar Point!

I have been a chicken most my life, but I did find that I love the ones that hang under a track. Heights are not bad, but the feeling of falling is, so the more twists and loops, and the less drops, the better.

At Cedar Point, I'll ride the Gemini, Iron Dragon, Raptor, that indoor one, the Blue Streak (yawn worthy however it may be, it IS a classic), Wild Cat, um... miners ride, um... I think that's all.

It takes forever to get me on a new one, though, and I'm terrified of the Millenium Force, the Magnum, and the Mantis. Also, I've been on the Mean Streak, and have vowed never to do so again. I hated that one. It wasn't even the drops, it was just way to jerky, and uncomfortable.

We have something like that here, I think it's called FreeFall. I dragged my friend on it once and she turned green.

I love roller coasters, I love that feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when there's a drop.

I'm scared now - that or just brain-washed! I'd ride them with my husband when we were younger, but I'd scream like crazy. He kept after me enough about the screaming until I finally said I wouldn't ride them anymore! So now I don't ride them! (We even met through working at amusement parks - him in Houston and me in MO!)
