Two single moms, six kids, two dogs, two cats, a guinea pig, and some hermit crabs. That's about to be the life of Logophile and me.
Add in the tribe and their assorted kids stopping over, a great neighborhood, various friends of the kids, lots of board games, the dating lives of said single moms, and the upcoming awesomeness of summer cookouts and sitting around the firepit drinking at night.

I'm stoked, aside from the move today and the emotional baggage I have yet to deal with with my parents.
So wish us luck on our journey. And feel free to post any other kind of commentary as well. ;)

Good luck, sj.

I get confused and exhausted just thinking about living with such a menagerie. ;)

Thanks Rob!

Over here, at Roberta (the name of our house), my oldest and I are scurrying around, clearing out bedrooms and rearranging furniture. Sophie's willingness to move in and save me from ultimate financial ruin speak volumes about what an amazing friend she is. I wish any one of you could see the way she is with kids and animals of all sorts, the way can whip up 6 dozen cookies for any friend in need, the way she listens to every word you say in peace and acceptance. I couldn't ask for a better roommate.

I love you, Soph.

(There's coffee on, of course)

This is such a sweet note. And it's funny, how I see it the other way- that Logo is saving me and giving me some desperately needed freedom, and saving me from a potentially disasterous familial situation. How great it is that we get along so well (and that our kids get along so well) that everyone is totally happy with having new bunkmates and honorary siblings.

(I'll be there shortly with a carload of stuff and be ready for that coffee!)

:rose:'s and 's for two of the sweetest ladies I know. Good luck.

The movers are on their way - two hours early.
We have been shaking our asses trying to get Roberta ready for the furniture and toys to arrive. I'm on my way to Sophie's now to help load the trucks, etc.

By the time our kids are out of school, we'll have all the stuff in the house.
I hope.

Oh no, not hermit crabs! Get out, get out as fast as you can, you don't know what you're up against. :p

How completely exciting and wonderful!

Your home will be filled with love... and cookies. *calculating the distance from here to there*

:kiss::kiss::rose: Happy house warming.

Jeez, and I just love cooking for a crowd. Cooking is my third favorite indoor sport. Eating is second.

That just sounds like too many people...

I wish you all luck with that ;)

Truck is unloaded and now the unpacking begins.
But first - it's time to bring the kids home from school and see how they like it.

:)

Sounds like my kind of zoo. Good luck, ladies. :rose:

Oh, and if you want some lambs or bunnies to add to the menagerie....

Yeah, I didn't think so, but it was worth a shot.

huge smiles for loving chaos...we know it well.
mega hugs to you both!

So so tired, but happy just the same. It's going to be a helluva spring break. :D

You can say that again!
The kids are running everywhere, trying to find their stuff.
The animals are crazed.
And I'm exhausted.

And happy.:)
