Just a thought to ponder about while I sleep: Bi/homosexual acceptance into society.

It appears that female-female sexual reltionships are more accepted then male-male sexual reltionships. The migority of socity accept female-female sexual reltionships, while only the minority accept male-male sexual reltionships. My opinnion on why it appears like this is simple.

In socity, the migority think a male having sex with another male is sick and disgusting. While only the minority do not.

Whgile the migority think a female hsaving sex with another feemale is sexy and erotic. But the minority do not like it.

I would like to know what other peoples thoughts on this. Post away and happy easter

Actually, that isn't an opinion. That's a corollary to your premise.

Your opinion would address WHY you believe that to be true, which you have not done.

Personally, I believe it to be true for several reasons, most of which I don't expect to be popular.

1. Women are better looking than men, as a group. The most beautiful woman in a room will always be more attractive than the best looking man. Therefore, two women naked is visually appealing, and they already have that going for them.

2. There is nothing two women do together when naked that a man and a woman cannot do together when naked; therefore, it is less threatening.

3. On the other hand, two naked men will often do something together that many men and a lot of women find discomfitting: namely, anal sex. While many men like doing it, the idea of having it done to them is often not appealing.

4. Bisexuality still speaks to homosexuality, which is offputting to many people, for the above reasons.

for Women, it seems that the process (the kissing, carressing.... ect) is more important then the end point. They're more sensual...

for Men the end point seems more importent (insert tab D into slot M,P or A) more of a RAW SEX mindset...

2) Hetero women kiss hello, etc., i.e. behave in a more *cuddly* way, men are supposed to behave *manly*, so we could call this the stereotype factor.

I thought that for years. Then I found my other half. And I will be forever grateful to him that I can get rid of that sorry mindset.

No woman I've ever talked to wants to feel that her partner is "going through the motions to get to the good part." But a lot of women, if they are honest, do feel that way. And a lot of men are guilty of that terrible, terrible behaviour

I don't believe that lesbians are more accepted because they "look nicer" or "have more mundane sex". I think that that the bias toward male homosexuals can be traced back, again, to our male-dominated society. Many men fear anything that is a threat to their masculinity, and gay men would be one of those things. Many men, on the other hand, think lesbians are sexy, and therefore a-okay. These male-biased views get translated into the larger views of society in general.

I also think it might have something to do with the Bible, and its indictment of "sodomy". As far as I can remember, the Bible doesn't condemn lesbianism.

Some of it is personal preference but I think it's mainly a societal thing.

I know, I know, why did I have to go there. It's a male run society and, as much as we women might not like it, men make the rules. You don't see men obsessing over their looks/weight/chest size (or for a man, penis size) just because of the images they are blasted with daily.

Men like the idea of two women together. Lesbianism became a common theme in movies. Once we became saturated with images of it, we became okay with the idea of it - it became 'okay'.

Men, unless they are homosexual or gay, are disgusted by the idea of two men together. Hence, the reason for the lack of homosexual images out there. Men will never be okay with that idea, so we will never reach a point where it will be as accepted by people as lesbianism. That's the reason why famous men who are homosexual don't come out of the closet. If I was a man, I wouldn't come out of the closet. I'm sure that it doesn't help that when people hear a woman say she only likes women it's usually followed by comments like 'Can I watch'. When a man says he only likes men, it's followed by comments like 'faggot' and they could very well be fighting for their lives.

I know I'm getting ready to get slammed for this but I think it's pretty ironic that blow jobs and anal sex, things that homosexuals were known for especially during biblical times, are now 'okay' for hetero sex. Don't get me wrong, as a woman who has to be beat off of a dick, I love giving blow jobs. I just thought that was pretty ironic.

Yes, back around the Trojan war time gay was openly accepted. That was in the ancient Greek era, which in those times gay man were accepted.

Today it appers to me that gay man are not accepted as much as lasbians are.
