A suggestion everyone's gonna hate

*ducks and cringes in advance* Should we lobby to put some kind of post limit on some of these threads? Like, would 50 seem reasonable? 75? Really, what is there to say after that point, and I for one, only speaking personally here, don't want to see the same 8 month old thread at the top of the board every time I come in here.

peeping in through the door on this thread....hi patryn...just wanted to let you know that you are right...i do hate the suggestion...i like being able to be silly and keep threads going...they are kindof like phone calls...just when you are really enjoying the conversation...you don't hang up because it went past your five minute mark do you? just my opinion and i do understand where you are coming from...if you aren't involved in the thread then it is boring to you when it gets so long...but those of us who are playing in the thread are having fun...come in and play with us and maybe you will change your mind or just see our side of liking the long posts...Thank you for listening and now anyone else want to post thier view?

I understand where your coming from, Patryn. There are some threads I have no interest in, but I just ignore them and go to the ones I'm interested in. So my vote would be not to limit them.

It is not a concern of mine how long they suck the bones of slut boy's monster thread. I am grateful that it occupies the girls. We all come here for different reasons so as long as they want to play let them it is harmless. I do admit it is one of the longest episodes of foreplay I have every seen but then thats their business. Personally sex with a woman is not of interest to me. But the beauty of the board is its variety and people. So no I don't want to see a limit on the length of any thread.

I wouldn't mind how long the thread was if the replies pertained to the thread. Usually the replies degererate into the "how are you, I am fine" talk. I find many threads interesting but decide to leave them because they turn into a chat room that has nothing to do with the original thread and I don't have the time or inclination to dig out the meaningful replies.

I think I could have been misunderstood here. I'm NOT saying censorship, I hate that as much as I hate anything, just about...I'm just asking....WHY?!?!?! Why does a thread have to be 800 comments long...or 200 for that matter?

I've given this a lot of thought, and the only possible response is: Why NOT?

I don't believe someone is holding a gun to your head, compelling you to read them.

No doubt, when the monster thread eats enough space, it will receive a decent burial. Pending that occurrence, is it really a concern of ours?

They are that long due to interest in them. When the interest fades so does the thread. I think that a limit would just be counter-productive as then the sweetness or silliness (depends on your viewpoint)would just spill over to an even larger degree to other threads.

As long as there are posters to keep a thread alive it should be allowed to grow. I do wonder if there will come a time when there will be a cutoff on old threads that haven't had any activity in x# of years.

Rosebud you can bring up the s-e-x thing anytime with me why I will even make Zeke stay out on the front porch while we discuss the spanking.

I have not regretted a single post on here. If I have something to say, I will say it. Personally I don't need to be able to remove a post of mine. However.. I am rather pissed of at Lasheraloo for ruining it for those who want to use that option. You can still delete the text in your post though cant you?

On the main issue, If a thread doesn't interest me or get boring I will go on to the next one. restrictions on length isn't a good idea for all the reasons everyone has already mentioned.
