A special look

This is inspired by a thread I started earlier about Dear Renza. Have you ever noticed that people, (both male and female,) have a special look to them when they are happy and secure with their sex and sexuality? They carry themselves proudly, their heads high, and they seem to exude a type of feling which says they are happy about who and what they are? I have seen it many times, but it seems to come through more often with a woman who is pregnant and happy about it. (It also comes through with the spouse of a pregnant woman when they are happy about their wife or girlfriend being pregnant.)
It's hard to describe, but when you see it you know and understand it. Have you ever seen it?

Two Types

I have always said there are two types of pregnant women:

1) Glowing and seemingly floating on a cloud of happiness.

2) Miserable.

It's quite amazing, really. I had miserable days, but even on those days people would stop me in the grocery and congratulate me and tell me how beautiful/happy I looked. It also seems to bring out the best in others. I remember being at a baseball game in the dead ass heat of a Texas August and a woman was really bitching her kid out good. Just then, the little boy dropped his program and Ranger's hat and I stooped down to pick it up. She looked at me and everything changed before my eyes. Her face softened, she thanked me, rubbed my belly , and turned back to her kid. She then apologized and ruffled his hair and put her arm around him. I'll bet he's still scratching his head about what transpired...



Not sure what it is about inner peace, but when you've got it you tend to share it without even trying. I can see Renza's glow from 1500 miles away, just through her words here and in PM. I've got my fingers crossed that I'll be that happy again soon. It's certainly something that comes and goes, but when ya' got it...FLAUNT IT!!!!!!!!

I know what Lucky means. I had a few miserable days when I was pregnant but people were always telling me I looked radiant. I think it probably had osmething to do with all that sex.

You think i'm horny in my "normal" state you should have known me when I was pregnant. All I wanted to do was eat,sleep and fuck...and not neccessarily in that order.


We broke the bed twice when I was pregnant.

Confidence IS sexy but over confidence is generally a real turn off for me. the "i'm the sexiest person in the world and I know it" strut is an instant turn off. A quiet confidence, a head held high, a meeting of eyes and a smile not a quickly bowed head; all that is very sexy.


Shy is sexy too but I think shy is a while different thing than un-confidence. you can be shy and fairly confident and the fun with a shy person is pulling out that confidence *grins*

Methinks that strut is usually the opposite to confidence. Rather "I'm so insecure in myself that I need to make people think that I'm the sexiest person in the world and knowing it, so that they don't find out."

Real confidence looks are nothing that the bearer is aware of having. It just is.

I think it has something to do with being happy with what and who you are. If you are unhappy with being female, or being pregnant, or even your sexual orientation it comes through. If you're happy then it also comes through loud and clear.
Shyness is another matter entirely. If you are shy because that is just the way you are, that's one thing. (I tend to be shy around strangers.) If you are shy because you are unhappy or uncomfortable with who you are that is another thing. Both present differently.
Yes false bravado is a turnoff and is easily seen through. When you see that Bravo walking down the street brushing everyone with his shoulders and making a nuisance of himself, that's false. He's trying to tell the world he some kind of super stud and not to mess with him. On the other hand the cat who moves through the crowd quietly and easily. Appologising when he brushes someone, yet with his head held high and a certain lightness to his steps, you know he's the real thing.
As for sex and sexuality during pregnancy. Different women different needs and wants. My sister had zero interest in sex, (then again she only wanted sex as a way to get other things before getting pregnant.) My sister-in-law on the other hand. Well, if you were sexualy active you weren't safe within a hundred yards of her.

Well for most of the women I've spoken with, myself included, the latter is much more likely. But in my experience, and many of theirs, the partner was less than willing. Sure would be nice to have more Cat's like you around in such instances.

Renza and Destinie flirting all over the AH has reconfirmed the old saying "All the world loves a lover".

It isn't always true but for those two I think it applies.

Their various AVs have shone with happiness, and they have shared their happiness with us.

Pregnancy changes many things, and some of the changes can be unpleasant, but a radiant pregnant woman like Renza is a wonderful statement of the beauty that makes others feel warm inside.

Even if the pregnant woman feels hot and tired, with an aching back and sweaty feet she can still inspire love in the observer.

Renza deserves adoration for sharing so much with us.
