I only know one song of his, and when it came out I heard it everywhere and eventually went on to loath that song. But after not hearing it for decades, I kind of enjoyed hearing part of it again about a year ago. Since it is tied to a difficult part of my life, I won’t seek it out.

He's sort of a modern day Cole Porter. His lyrics are quite clever and funny. Kinda like Elvis Costello.
