Let me just start of by saying, this website has got to be the best I've ever seen. I've spent ages trying to find a place like this! Good content, not bland bread and butter crap, without paying 50 bucks (not to mention giving some strange backwater company my credit card number. Even the free ones do this). And a giant message board where every sex subject you can think of is discussed openly. Everything I ever asked for!
Anyway, on to my query. I want to start an "adult" website. Not a porn site, but kind of an "art site". A place where I can muse about sex, and put up stories and pictures, talk about various sex issues, and make how to guides... a lot like this site, lol
But the problem is... I can't find a suitable webhost. First of all, it's gotta be free.
Secondly, free regular webhosts won't allow adult content of any kind.
Thirdly, adult hosts have restrictions. Some want the file size of each file to be no larger than 160kb, and won't allow certain types of files. It wouldn't be a big deal, except I wanted to put some sound files up. Plus, I noticed one that said "must be adult content". That's a vague statement. I consider my stuff to be "adult content", but they might not, because it isn't a bunch of porn picture galleries. I get the feeling that an adult host would just delete the site because of that. It also probably wouldn't gain a whole lot of visitors, and they might cull it for that reason as well.
So regular hosts are stingy about having anything to do with sex, and adult hosts want smut or else you have to leave. Is there a happy medium somewhere?
There are a lot of compromises I can make. I don't need a lot of space, I could go as low as 10mb, though I'd prefer at least 15 or 20. Don't need a lot of bandwidth either, I doubt people would be flocking to it.
I've tried some adult host search engines, but I haven't got anything other than the regular stuff.
If anyone can help me out, that'd be awesome.
