A Sincere Question

This may seem like an attack, but it's honestly a sincere question.

Why in the world do many of you put up with the insults and the ridicule that Lance starts on this board? I have watched him demean several posters - specifically about their appearance - and no one has really said a word.

In the past, if someone said something so demeaning about another poster's physical appearance this board went crazy. When Zamdrist used the word portly the thread turned into a frenzy of 100+ posts. When Nasty has stuck his foot in his mouth on numerous occasions, the board went crazy bashing him.

But, in the past month I've watched Lance behave in the exact same way and not a word. No, in fact I've watched women kiss his ass AFTER he has behaved in such a manner.

Why do you let this just simply fly by your head? I find his behavior disgusting, but what I find more revolting is the fact that no one publicly calls him on this bullshit.

If I didn't post these exact comments, I would be just as guilty of those who say nothing.

Edited to change this - it is an attack of sorts. I realize after reading this that the disclaimer that it's not an attack is kinda bogus.

There is a complete difference between attacking someone's sigline, attacking someone's beliefs and attackign someone's appearance.

If you can't see the distinction, I'm glad you posted as unregistered. I don't want to have to view posters at this board as being so idiotic as being unable to see differences in apples and oranges.

To answer you, Lavy - I haven't seen him do it since the big huge issue in the BDSM forum. The posts of his I've actually read have been funny and or informative.

i have kind of called lance on it ... part of the reason why i don't think im all that nice is some of the posts i've directed in his direction

the thing with lance is that he plays on lit with different rules to most people ... his debates are just to wind people up

he will post what he thinks of people and can be quite rude he also plays word games to be mean to people

he "loves" hann's and thinks he's the best thing to happen since sliced bread

Sticking your foot in your mouth can be forgiven. Being a total asshole to people for no reason (I'm talking about a post made earlier today) and without apology and recognition that what was done was wrong, is not something that should go unnoticed.
