A Simple Lesson

I haven't any idea what all the hoopla is about. But in the words of Johnny Cochran, "If it doesn't fit, you must acquit."

Can't... Anyone be slashed with anyone? Giles and Bones for instance.
Yes, yes, but it's easier if you don't cross the streams. Or heck, cross them... Giles and Bones sounds like fun. Meanwhile Willow enjoys time with Angela. :)

Anyone can be crossed with anyone, but the story needs a reason for them to meet and do stuff beyond 'author thinks they're both hot'. Well, sometimes...

It's also amusing to reference other characters played by the same actor, e.g. Q (James Bond) played by Ben Whishaw surprisingly often gives Paddington-like hard stares, Sherlock (Cumberbatch version) gives his opinion on Doctor Strange, etc.

The late, great Shaun Connery gives his views on all the other Bonds and how he is the only true Bond. Then he goes off on a tangent about his costars and how he fucked them all and is the only Bond to actually bed the Bond girls.

I'd buy that for a dollar!

So many moons ago I read LOVE IS LIKE A BLUE SHELL by Spector_Dugan and he alliterated the couples in order so you never lost track of the geography of who was originally with who.

I’ve always tried to use this as much as possible as I think it’s a really good trick to make sure you don’t lose track of people where large numbers are gathered.
You should let Dostoevsky know this simple trick
What other simple tricks have you learnt from your fellow authors?
Spelling

No one likes a crowded room, so have fewer people.
It occurred that the same principle could simplify lesbian love scenes so
Fiona flicked her fickle fingers over Cindy's cute clitoris, while she chugged on the fucktube facing her.

James Bond was also imprisoned in Alcatraz and escaped, for those who didn’t know. Later in life, he had to break back in there to thwart terrorists with the assistance of Nicolas Cage.

I'm going to rope this thread under control, or at least spend a few words trying.

I don't use alliteration for couples. I do like having equal-numbered syllables for names.

Joe and Liz. Jackie and Robert. Timothy and Barbara.

I find that's more subtle than an Adam and Andrea, a Christie and Charlie, and it feels like I'm being sly. I rarely give myself credit for being sly.

No offence, but I’m definitely gonna mix this in.

Hope you don’t mind, of course.

Always learning.
