First off, let me say that it has been fun and very educational for the most part. I’ve learned a lot here and some of it even pertained to writing. To all that have helped me along the way, Thank You, thank you very much.

But, and there's always a butt.

I've overstayed my interest and outlasted most all of the people I loved and appreciated here. When I first came here it was a fun loving and educational (writerly) place. The older more experienced authors helped the newbie authors. Hell, everyone helped the newbies period. We even had a newbie help thread. I haven't seen it in a year.

That helpful and friendly place doesn't exist anymore for me. There are too many people only out for number one and the hell with the rest. There are little groups and individuals still around that do help but they are too few and too far between. They have been smothered by the bullshit and backstabbing.

I'm not leaving Lit in general, I'll still post short stories occasionally but short stories and erotica are no longer my focus. They are now my mode of rest and relaxation from my other writing. I might even drop in to see how old friends are getting along ever so often but my posts to them will be in PM form.

Sarahh, I'm sorry we never got that second story started.

Rumple, you know where i am and so do you DP and Starr.

Rob, for a crazy guy, you're probably the sanest one around.

There are others I should say goodbye to but for the life of me, I can’t think of who all and what to say. A few others know where I’ll be from time to time but between a new job with my own company and my new writing, I won’t be around much.

Many thanks for having me

Tx

Tex, it was a pleasure meeting you. I always enjoyed our conversations. Take care of yourself man :)

I'm really sorry to hear that - but can understand your reasons perfectly well. Your help, support and unwavering attempt to separate fact from fiction has been invaluable not only to newbies on this site. Take care.

"He got away! He got away!" ~(Dorothy re: Toto )

Good for you Tex!

Bitter-sweet to see you mostlyleave.

GOOD LUCK!!

Judging from all the good wishes, either you should leave more often or folks are just happy to see you heading for the door. :D

The old joint just won't be the same w/o you around. I'm gong to wait until after the election to see if the mood changes around here.

Rumple Foreskin

Tex, there's nothing to leave. This is not a place.

It's an interface where some people you know and some people you don't know can be reached. If you feel keeping up with it takes up too much time and energy better spent in other ways, then by all means. I know the feeling.

Good luck with whatever you partake in, and an occasional "howdy" now and then would be nice, but it's up to you. :rose:

I'm with Liar.

Do what you feel comfortable with, may good luck stay with you.

Best,

Will

PS: I agree with the 'Rob' comment - his claimed insanity is a ruse to get girls :D

Having had the pleasure of meeting you on several occasions, at those memorable meet ups at the Loveshack, and even the privilege of sitting on your beloved motorcycle, I know that the guy on the threads is actually the same as the guy in real.

I know exactly what you mean about the 'feel' of this place of late, and it's crossed my mind a few times to just walk away. But, I'm still here, I guess I'm more optimistic than you.

That said, you'll be missed, your kindness will be missed, and let's face it, every clubhouse needs a dirty old man. Keep in touch occasionally, please.

Good luck in your ventures, may the road always be long and straight, and may your tyres always stay inflated and your gas tank always be full. At $2.50 a gallon. ;)

From the wife and I.

:kiss::kiss:

I think Neon said it best, especially the part about Rob. Not good-bye, Tex, but Farewell.
