A shameful admission to PC...

Okay, a couple.

1) I'm vain and did a search for my name in which I found a post where you called me "Poor Eumenides"...sweet.

2) I mostly only hang out in fluff threads, so I don't catch a lot of the drama that happens here. So, my admission goes as such. That for which you felt sympathetic towards me was actually precipitated by me. It was actually a joke about lists, and hence...you get my drift. *sigh* Didn't know what I was getting myself into.

I gotta read more of the threads I don't like to keep up on the who's who of lit.

To recap:

Earlier today there was a little flame-fest. It was pretty funny reading, honestly. Anyway, the flamee had both mine and Eumenides's (among other unfortunate souls) nicks in his sigline as uh...objects of affection, I guess.

I didn't realize I was still in it (since I normally have sigs off) and I asked him to remove my name.

Eumenides was not around, however. PC, being the soul of charity and kindness (no really, I'm not kidding!), suggested that someone enlighten Eumenides and said that he hoped she wasn't alone when she found out. It was really cool of him and (in case there's any confusion) not condescending at all.

Now Eumenides is courageously admitting to PC that she actually asked the doofus in question to be in his sigline. Of course, at the time it was all fun and games as he'd not shown such seriously doofy qualities at that point.

I think it's brave of her to come clean like this.

I'm the only one currently using the grammar friend title, that I know of. However, spelling buddy and co. were intended to encourage people to check their posts before submitting. They aren’t meant to ‘get’ people, to make anyone feel bad, or to insult posters that the ‘friend’ is angry with.

If someone has been doing that, or does that in the future, tell me and I shall paddle them furiously with a mackerel.
