I was reading another thread on lit on the various situations regarding THE Royal Family, and I thought that could be a fantastic setting for a story.

So many options.

Maybe the oldest granddaughter of the King is a raging sex addict, and there are countless efforts put in place in the palace infrastructure to try to control her, or at least keep the story out of the tabloids. There's the sex therapist strategy, although the therapist is a closet lesbian and welcomes the opportunity. There's the "fixer" who's job it is squash stories, and will do "anything" to accomplish that goal (i.e. you had ONE job...). And how about the male escort the royals keep on retainer to give her somewhere to focus her pent up energy.

So fun.

And that one superfluous employee none of the royals are having a same-sex affair with šŸ˜‰ (though they DO tend to have several private meetings behind closed doorsā€¦)

Oh yes. Definitely, a fun idea. I'd even set it in the past or some fantasy world.

I'm working on a story about a king who sadly is just not terribly intelligent but is wildly amorous. So the Queen realizes that she has no choice but to handle most of the day-to-day affairs herself and keeps her husband busy with a variety of lovely servants chosen to suit his tastes.

Of course, the Queen has the assistance of the captain of the guard and court advisor, both chosen by her, to fill any needs she has as well.

I have one concept story that is about an actual Nigerian prince that comes to a European city to finish his studies like a regular citizen would.

His older brother, the prince that should become king, is an arrogant man. The prince doesn't like his ways and wants to be different than him. He sets aside all of his wealth to live like a poor student.

He rents a room in a student residence where there are mostly white girls. Some like him, some are mean to him.

One of the nice girls begins a relationship with him, which leads to him admitting to her who he really is.

Somewhat inspired by the 'Coming To America' movie.
