Almost to the end of the book about Germanys Weimar Republic I experienced an epiphany: A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME SMELLS JUST AS SWEET.
That is, socialist governments all atrophy to the condition where there's nothing left to steal, nothing left to debase, and theyre paralyzed to execute their will. Regardless of the name they take all socialist governments atrophy to death.
Conservative governments, on the other-hand, are stewards of value. They preserve stores of value in money, property, institutions, and social intercourse. What they call themselves is meaningless in terms of what they do.
