A Question of Length

I wasn't sure whether to ask this here or in AH, but here goes! Is around 6000 words (by MS Word's count) too long for a single story submission? I could probably break it into two parts, but in terms of continuity it all belongs together.

no....6000 words comes in at 2 lit pages, that would be better than breaking it up
