A Prison Story

I have prepared the draft of a story about my experiences in a women's prison. It contains violent behavior and rape. Of course, such things are not praised, but condemned.

It will probably be rejected if I submit it like this. Someone suggested that I cut the parts about the violent behavior I witnessed and experienced myself, and make it look like the victims were enjoying. I can do that, but that turns the story into an ordinary (or even cheap) sex story, with no moral whatsoever behind it. That's not my purpose. I wanted to write something which demonstrates the feelings of the victims and condemns the oppression.

Does anyone have an idea about how should I proceed, or should I put aside the idea of publishing my story here?

I think as long as the victim enjoys it at some point… i dont think it needs to devolve into cheap sex story. there could even be some regret in enjoying it if that keeps to the characterization you want?

I haven't read that book.

I was in Qarchak prison, south of Tehran.

To be honest, none of that sounds like erotica. By all means, your story should be told and told well, but perhaps Lit isn't the place for it. Cheap sex stories are what we do here.

No, we do other things here besides cheap sex stories. We write erotica, for example . Although, based on what is in Story Ideas, I can see where that notion came from. There's a Non-Erotic section, remember? I even a story in there. That's where she can put hers. Give her a break!

From what little I've read about it, it sounds like a horrible place. I realized that even in Non-erotic, the rape angle might get it banned here. I know another site that might take it. In fact, there are several other sites to look at, although they might no be "erotic" sites.

They've even denied that homosexuality exists in their country, but they are mostly fooling themselves. What goes on in their prisons doesn't seem to be acknowledged by the leadership.

I think I got that. I guess I was trying to resolve the problem of how the OP could both describe her own experiences - which she said was her goal - and also have it fit Lit's guidelines. So far, I haven't figured out how she could do both. There is one other erotic literature site that might accept it, but there are various other sites that might take it too. She should probably do some research and look around for a place to put it. (Off-hand, I'm not that familiar with other sites than publish fiction and essays.)

I totally agree, the oppression and denial of any human dignity should always be condemned and on reading your account, I have to say you handled the subject very well indeed. It’s not easy to read, as the subject is so horrific. I can imagine telling the world your story is helpful to you, and I for one am glad you did!

Many years ago my boyfriend had this little Chevrolet, it wasn't a bad car but it had one very annoying quality which I will point out in this story. We went to the mall because he wanted my advice on a birthday gift he was purchasing. And since we were already there we made an afternoon of it looking through other shops and having an early dinner together.

Oh, that problem with his car... He was always losing it and being unable to find it quickly after parking it in a large lot. And true to form, it happened once again on that day. We must have spent 20 minutes walking up and down the rows on the side of the mall we parked on before we finally found it.

Because you see the sun had been very high on the horizon in the early afternoon when we arrived. But now towards sunset it was very low in the horizon and as the light passed through his Chevrolet Prism the car that was a purplish blue when we parked was now an orangish yellow.

That’s my Prism story.

I have translated another story from Farsi to English. This one is about prison abuse as well. That's the reason it got my attention. It's told from the perspective of a boy who is arrested along with his aunt and witnesses similar atrocities in detention. Since this story contains an underage character, it's definitely not suitable for Literotica, unless someone makes some big changes in it. I can't do that however. Any big change I could have imagined ruins the whole story line.

Does anyone knows a suitable place for publishing such a story?
