Zach Renfro was lost, damn it, he hated getting lost in a new city. He had been driving around in circles in the subdivision for nearly an hour. A trail of bread crumbs wouldn't have helped at the storm tugged at his vehicle as he stopped. Half an hour into this god forsaken run, he had lost his antennae, pulled off the Ford with a gust of wind that rocked his rental truck. Shit, he thought, didn't even elect the insurance waiver.

Now the storm had increased and he was not in a safe place and had no idea how to get back to his hotel. Crap deal was, he was to do an inspection for a rental property, flood damage. Now he might have to circle back to inspect for storm damage, if there was any piece of the property left to assess.

Zach pulled over into a cul de sac and turned around in his seat. Hell, every single window on every house was boarded. Folks in Virginia were not just lovers, they were boarders as well.

The power was out from the windstorm, I presumed, so there were no streetlights or any lights in the house.

I could play the computer on the battery, but not on the internet.

Looking out the window, there was a truck in the cul de sac, and the guy looked lost. I watched for a while and the truck didnt move, so I put on a hoodie and went out to ask if I could be of any help.
