Is it possible to write a Galaxy of Terror fanfic regarding the infamous Dameia/Worm encounter while remaining true to the scene, but without running afoul of Literotica guidelines?

If what you want to do is write the scene as a fanfic, and "stay true to it," then, I don't see how.

Bestiality: No
Rape: No
Snuff: No

Actually I think the question came off wrong. It should be, "A Question About A Galaxy of Terror Fanfic Paradox Regarding the Dameia/Worm scene."

Reimagining the scene for the purposes of a longer story would require certain problematic aspects to be addressed.

Possibly wouldn't constitute "bestiality" under Lit interpretations. There are plenty of monsterfucking stories here with equally inhuman creatures; the line seems to be drawn roughly at "animals that exist in real life".

Lit doesn't forbid "rape" automatically; that's the point of the NC/Reluc category and there are plenty of stories there with "rape" in the title. But the snuff aspect would almost certainly get this one bounced.

She's raped to death in the scene in question.

There's no way to get that around Lit's cutesy "no rape except..." loophole, even separately from the snuff factor.

I had to Google this, never heard of the movie. Rather wish I hadn’t.

No, you can’t have a woman raped to death on Literotica. Just raped is totally fine, so long as the fairies visit and sprinkle her with magic orgasm dust*. But even Lit won’t let you have a space worm rape a woman to death.

I guess I’m glad for small mercies.

* Faries don’t exist

We are agreeing here. I'm just pointing out that "rape" in itself isn't a disqualifier on Lit without other elements (which this one definitely has).

A reimagining doesn't mean she dies but, as mentioned, problematic aspects would need to be addressed for the purposes of a longer story.

My idea for the story: If one is familiar with the movie, it is revealed that the Monolith is, in fact, a device built by ancient aliens to test their young by having them face their deepest fears. Characters in the movie die from the manifestation of their own fears. Sid Haig's character fears his own violence, manifest in his severed arm killing him with his own weapon. Erin Moran's character, who is claustrophobic, is crushed to death. Robert Englund's character fights his doppelganger until he has an epiphany about fighting himself, and his doppelganger disappears.

The gonzo thing about Taafe O'Connell's character, Dameia's death, comes from the fact the worm didn't kill her. It did other bad things to her, but Dameia's death came as a result of her own orgasm. It frightened her to death.

I'd approach the story through several ways: first I'd reimagine Dameia's fate. Rather than dying, she falls unconscious. I'd follow with a look at her past, exploring the origins of her fear of worms, and sex. Then I'd have her exorcise her demons, in an unconventional manner, allowing her to come to terms with her horrible past, and embrace her sexuality. I'd end with a more concrete, and positive fate for both her and Ranger (Robert Englund's character, whose fate is left uncertain in the movie).
