A Nudge in the Right Direction

I am holding special thoughts of care for my brother who is struggling in his marriage.
For my husband's best friend, recently diagnosed with cancer.
For my dear friend Jameson...may his every joy and wish and prayer be fulfilled.
For those who are hurting and brokenhearted this day.
For my best girlfriend, may she have safe travels with her family.
For my nation as we struggle to come to terms with our history of brokenness especially around race ~
may our leaders have courage to help us to create real justice for all people
regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, faith, ethnic heritage, immigration status, illness or disability.​

Today I offer up a prayer for a colleague and friend who's husband is in hospital very ill. I offer this prayer to any who find themselves in the same place.

May the Great Oneness look into his heart and see his works of love, the children he is father to. The lives he has touched. May the Great Mother take from him this cup of suffering and if she should love this gentle soul more than us, then take him, or return him to us.

I think this thread is wonderful :) I'm glad compassionate people still exist.

I feel like this quote deserves to be here.. It's one I relate to on a deep level and I hope everyone here can appreciate it as well.

Hi I'd like to say your a great inspiration for creating this thread so many people feel they have no where to turn no one to talk to and nobody sharing the emotions that they are I believe this thread will help those who want to open up those who want to talk with others who have shared the same experiences and those who think they are alone I believe will be surprised by the support other lit members will give them
In having said this I know what it's like to have your heart ripped out when you loose a loved one
I lost my daughter when she was just beginning her life at 14 years old
Up until today I still wish it was me to go so she could live her life
Parents shouldn't have to put there children to rest it's your children that should put us to rest
Anybody wishing to chat or a shoulder to cry on or would like a big cuddle feel free to pm me

Truly... parents should not have to bury their children. A pain none should know.

A compass is for land, for sea voyages one uses a sextant. At one time, I knew how to use one. However when you don't use it you lose it so it's use now is as foreign to me as an abacus. Or a slide rule, and which unlike the abacus inactually knew how to use at one point in my life.
