It is easy to lose your way this time of year
to be buffeted by the demands of family and the rush of all of the "stuff" of the holidays
pressures of extra events and expenditures and expectations...

take a deep breath, take a bearing, steady yourself.
Just because it is "expected" by others does not mean it makes sense or that you should accede to these things.

peer through the morning mist, and make out what is true, what is important.
just tell those in your life you love them - this is more important than lavish gifts.

and remember to be as generous as you can to those who are without.
