My "works" list in my own profile after 51 stories now has a second page.

Just a little bit of excitement for myself.

I know many other authors have several pages...but it was something I noticed this morning.

I guess 50 stories fit on a page :)

That's cool! I didn't know it did that. I'm at 44 stories, but I should hit 52 before Nov. 19th, my one year anniversary.

I'm just the opposite. When I converted four of my chaptered stories to single submissions, I lost almost 50 posts, going from 72 to 25, so all of mine now fit on a single page.

The multi-chapter story I have in final revisions is going to push my own list to two pages. OTOH, I have been considering removing some of my older works altogether, especially the earliest ones where I hadn't yet developed my writer's chops.

I'm not all that sure that multiple pages is a good thing. If it so happens that your favored stories fall onto page two, are they going to be noticed? It's sort of like Google results. If what you're looking for isn't on the first page, most people move on.

Crossing the threshold is an interesting measure of output, however.

The OP was referring to the "Works" page, or the page that the writer sees when they are in their own profile.

As far as I know. readers will always see your entire lists of posts on a single page. They may have to scroll down to reach the bottom of the list, but it's still on the same page.

Yeah. Some prolific writers like TxRad, have over 300 stories on the same page. I doubt I’ll ever get that many myself.

On your profile page, not the public story list.
