Can anybody help me please, i have 2 friends on 101st floor of the WTC who are still missing , does anybody know of a site that i can find to see if they are alive , all i know is their christian names , which are Chris and Mike ....i have no idea of surnames, or where they worked, they were scrabble (litari) partners on Yahoo with me .........Can somebody help me please?

I don't think there's much you can do except wait and see if they contact you. If they escaped or are hurt, they will return to work sooner or later and you'll hear from them.

The only other possibility would be to cross-reference the lists of victims (looking for those particular first names) with one of the lists of what companies had offices where (CNN had a list of companies along with which floors they occupied and it might still be available). That might help narrow it down a little. The lists of victims very often have company names or brief biographies with bits of info that might help you.

Good luck finding information. I know from personal experience that finally knowing for sure is a whole lot better than the agonizing uncertainty. I hope you can find something that will help you.

Ice Princess, could you tell me how i contact CNN, would it be on www.cnn.com ......i have no idea .......i am grateful for any help whatsover , but as we all know , chat is a funny world , with people not even saying correct names, so i just hope i am not looking for 2 names that dont excist ...i am actually worried sick as i am sure that they might well be serioiusly injured or even worse ......

I just checked the CNN website (http://www.cnn.com) and on this page http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2001/trade.center/tenants1.html they list companies as well as which floors they were on. If you use that and the URL shyguy68 gave for victims names etc. and you may be able to figure something out.

Thank you Ice Princess, i have looked and they must have worked for Cantor Fitzgerald .....but that is 101-105 floors , and another company on 101 aswell ......iwill just carry on looking and not give up hope .....thanks for your help .....really appreciate it ....

Cantor Fitzgerald was one of the firms hardest hit in the attacks. They have set up a special relief fund for families of Cantor employees at this address: http://www.cantorrelief.com/ -- as I recall, there isn't a lot of information available on the site, but I only looked at it quickly. It's mainly for donating money. There might be a company site too, although I don't know the address or the likelihood they'd have the victims listed there.

Thank you once again Ice Princess , i have looked at thte site and there is a UK media telephone number , i am going to phone that on Monday , i dont know if they can help me , but i sure am going to phone to ask ......of course for a start they probably shoud not have been on Yahoo during works time .....and i know for a fact they didtn chat at home cause their wives wouldnt allow them too ......but it is worth a phone call , one thing i do know is that they sat next to each other ........all i can say is "Thank you " , and i feel so much happier now , now i have a phone number and if they cant help me i am going to email that man , the chairman , and ask him for help ........i will try anything ......
