Yes, No, Maybe? Hubby and I are thinking about taking the next step in our lil' 2-person family & making a new member. This is such a B-I-G decision to make! So far, it's been a 2 week discussion on the ups & downs, the pros & cons. We've been married almost 2 years and have been told various reasons to and not to. But, that's not a decision that can be made based on the opinion of others. All you can really go on, is yourselves.

*Heavy Sigh*

Still Thinking...

Any suggestions? Words of wisdom? advice?

If you can afford it, I say go for the trifecta.

I'm confused as to whether you're planning a baby or a threesome.

Your heavy sigh makes me think you'd do well to enjoy your couple-hood for a little while longer before you decide anything.

Children are evil, they smell bad and wreck cars when they grow older.

Get a puppy instead.

Do it. Only those who have made the journey can look back to where they came from.

Dogs don't live as long.

Listen to St. Peteypie.

Don't do it!

;)

Life altering doesn't even begin to explain it.

I love mine, though! I swear, I wouldn't sell them on ebay for less than six figures a piece.

I suggest you spend time talking with your own parents about this and what it meant to them to have their first child came into this world. Pay attention to their facial expressions and their tone of voice. If you want to experience those feelings, then you are ready. If not, hold off a bit longer.

:rose: Good luck!

Lord Cupid Says You Must Service Him Well For That Comment, Lord Cupid Demands You Recognize His God Hood. Lord Cupid Also Offers You Bribes Of Cupid's Arrows For Proper Servicing.

Lord Cupid needs to understand that I'm not interested in servicing him. But nice try, sweetheart.

We decided and 5 years later it happened.

I love him so completely.

I still ask myself "What have I done?!"

A lifetime high maintenance item.

I agree with the latter sentiment - we had a dog for 18 months before a baby -the pro was it actually was good practice especially in puppyhood. The con was the dog was jealous of the baby, so we had to find her another home.

I'd wait a couple more years to be sure. There are too many broken home children already - although I'm sure you won't have that problem.

As for that, my own parents probly wouldn't be such a great idea...I have 4 brothers and sisters(3 of which by my parents, one from my dad's prev marriage) 2 of the 4 of us from my 'rents were conceived simply to keep my dad from leaving my mom b/c he's the old fashioned type and hung around just for the kids. Now I have a new stepmom(my dad & her are both 60) and inherited 2 stepbrothers, a stepsister, & 6 step neices & nephews. My family is NUTS!
