a good vampire story

a good vampire story should include:

slight elements of mind control, feeling taken over, under a spell, but aware and willing

neck-biting, increasing pressure, maybe sucking and necking that increases in intensity until the blood letting feels inevitable and desireable

blood drinking and sharing of blood, both partys should drink or at least taste the blood

pain and enjoyment of pain

a good description of the exstasy, both sexual and related to the letting and drinking of the blood

should begin with an actual story, but must be filled with sexual tension and "horror tension" (for lack of a better word) should also end as an actual story, or have a "vampire story point" of some kind, not just to have sex with a vampire. Should answer the questions of why the vampire chose that person to compell to have sex (NOT DD CHEST AND BLOND HAIR!!!) Vampire always should have a higher motive and we need to know if it was fulfilled or not. victim should have something at stake (no pun intended) and a goal of there own, either shared or in conflict with the vampire.

hmmm, if there is a vampire in my story they seem to have their own ideas why they are stalking or attacking whoever they are dealing with and they don't tell me, but if they let me put my two cents in then i'll be sure to share your advice with them (they tend not to prefer blondes so no worries aobut that)

Id loved to right erotic vampirism only problem is... yet again... the extreme section.... it makes me want to cry. Because i think the best vampiric erotica would have to involve well vampirism and the gore that comes with it, the mutilation and etc. and that hard to do on an NC-17 rating.

The Erotic Horror category has its own disclaimer now "warning" people that the flow is similar to "classic horror movies". So, it seems many new stories won't get lost in Extreme.

Yes she is wonderful... I am sure it all stems from the fact that she started writing erotica, so now everything has a sensual twist. Thing is they never have sex as vamps... only before they were or in Tale of the Body theif after he has switched bodies. I wish they had some kind of connection other then when sharing blood! I've been thinking to experiment with a vampire story, I'm a interracial-freak, so I was going to write it from that angle, vampires are very white (shudders with arousal). I think I will be departing from convention however, I don't really like gore and sex being together in the same house, the concept of feeding directly and physically from somebodies 'life-force' can be very erotic, so I'll keep that, probably will be a blood-sucking vampire, but with very sharp fine teeth that allows a clean messless feading... yes, I think so.

Mind control will definately stay. Interratial is littered with simpering white women and scowling mysogenistic over-developed black men, the consistantly samey over-developed characters I can tolerate, but all the female simpering really irritates me, (I like my women dominant, in control, pale-skinned, majestic) so a tall mind-controlling mysterious undead woman will be well placed in the peice.

Pain and enjoyment of it will take place, but I don't think both parties need to get bloodivorious... not everybody can look sexy guzzling on somebodies neck really, (although there may be a part two- roles reversed)

Sexual tention and 'involvement & motivation' will of course be there too, I should hope so anyway.

Having said that I usually dislike orthodoxy and its proponents, people should be 'allowed' to interpret the theme in their own fashion. Nonetheless, Interview with the Vampire ruled! (as did Mick Farrens book, The Feasting).

That sounds really increadably sexy. A tall pale white undead woman feasting on a sexy mucsular black man. Maybe a peak of her flesh, and a full lip kiss to draw him in, and then her fangs sink into the one soft spot on his hard body....

I had jsut considered a story along these lines having just re-read the original Dracula, i read it years ago but found it hard work then but enjoyed it this time.

I had considered however making the vampire a female. I love the sexual desire of the female vampires at castle Dracula. The ides is still in my head and if I can find a beginning to introduce the mortal to the vampire I might get it started.

I personally spell it Vampyress, because I spell "vampyre" with a "y" and not an "i". If you don't like using the "y", then either "vampiress" or "vampress" is fine. Both are "correct".
