Do you think we'll ever live in a world where such nonsense isn't an issue? Same goes for ethnicity prejudices, political persuasion, and religious (or lack there of ) beliefs.

Does anyone else ever get tired of all the half-wits spouting their hatred du jour?

i don't, because the truth is that while individual people are smart, people in groups are not. the particular form of stupid-as-fuck, like homophobia, will give way to something else with the passing of the years. to use your phrase, homophobia will be replaced ultimately by a different hatred du jour. not all that long ago, miscegenation laws were still in the books in many states of the union and your ability to vote depended almost entirely upon the color of your skin.

the nice thing is that with each generation, what was yesterday's socially progressive becomes today's norm & tomorrow's old news.

so i guess if we're sufficiently patient, we'll get closer to the world we hoped to see when we were younger.
