I check in regularly, too. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a lot of "chatter" and I don't really have any ideas to start new threads here.

I would post here far more often but:

I don't wonder what a cock feels like in my ass, I don't wonder what a cock tastes like and I don't need to see the hot male sex pics.

I don't need to know if I am bisexual, gay or just weird and I already have a life partner.

I do post in every topic of interest to me, but those are rare and I do not start threads just because I can.

I read threads in which I see certain people,most of those stupon mentioned and some others, have posted and threads which have interesting topics.

I think that there are plenty of regulars, but the more limited subject matter makes the board move slower than some others, and so it might not seem so.

This is the board I come to mainly while on the lit. website, think most of my posts have been on threads on this board. Recently they've just become so repetitive like the girl mentioned before. If theres something remotely interesting or grabs my attention I'll post but thats about it really.

It is a repetitive board, but almost all the other sections get their share of repetition too. I guess I'm just surprised that there aren't a group of people who have kindof made it into something more than just a newbie section where people ask what a cock feels like in their ass.

I suspect that for serious discussions regarding GLBT issues there are other venues that people turn to. This is literotica, a site that deals with porn. To expect that a GLBT forum here would be anything besides a place to mainly discuss bicurious sexual techniques and things like that seems quite unrealistic.

Sigh. No, I suppose not. But I used to peruse many of these forums. I don't think it's necessary to have 20000 posts and to have been a member for 3 years+ to have an opinion regarding this.

Well, one good thing about this thread is that it's getting us regulars to come out ( no pun intended) and reveal ourselves.

Forums go through stages or phases and change is good. I just think GLBT is going through this "newbie-bi-bicurious-I'm so confused" phase at the moment. That could change at any moment, or shift another direction.
Plus this is a moderated forum and that tends to keep things in check as far as subject matter. This is NOT the GB (General Board).

ExistentialLuv and PollyJean are going to meet my Oregon family on Saturday. We're going to play in the Rogue River.

My threads last for a little while since this board moves slower. The pace reminds me of other message boards that I used to go to. It took a while to learn how to keep up with the GB. It seemed amazingly fast at first.

Generally there are none that interest me so I don't post.

I usually never start threads so again few posts.

I agree with Kbate in alot of what she said.

But, that wasn't really my point; the thing is, while this is a porn board, you'd be suprised at the variety of subjects. I was mostly just saying that maybe you haven't been around long enough to notice that its not all about porn.

Plus, there are a lot of other issues regarding GLBT that aren't related to the majority of the posts here.

Condescending? Because I expected to find mostly porn-related topics on a porn messageboard? Strange.

I never said it was ONLY porn here. And while I have seen other topics in threads than porn and sex, most threads eventually get overrun by porn-related posts and sexual innuendo. The porn-related topics also outnumber the other kind quite significantly.

Actually, I think you're quite right. I have longed for this board to have more philosophical discussion, more political debate, etc. But in the end, this is a sex site. As kbate pointed out, many of us don't have the questions that are getting discussed here, so there's nobody to discuss our actual questions with. The reason the board is dominated by the kinds of threads it is, is because that's who feels the need to talk about their feelings. The rest of us discuss them elsewhere, I guess. I'm not a regular on any other queer boards (have poked my head in at butch-femme.com now and then) but I do think BitterIchor is at least partly right about why this place is the way it is.
