A Gallery: Delights & Splendors of Cascadia

I have a few pics from the hot shop in action...would people be interested?

Yes!

I saw glass blowing in Murano, not the touristy stuff but proper skilled, sweaty, asbestos-gloved glass work in a large, unadorned and untidy warehouse. Absolutely fascinating, and extraordinarily skilled men.

Thank you for sharing all these lovely pictures, Cass! :rose: I should drive up north more often. :)

This is my favorite part of the country... Colorado a close second.

I've been to Mt Hood, Eugene all along the Coulmbia river and the Pacific coast. Up Washington coast to Seattle. taking the ferry to Vancouver island.. Staying at the Princess hotel. visiting China Town, the museum, the famous gardens. visited the San Juans👍

glacier park is THE best👍👍👍👍 hiking to the huts... Seeing wildlife up close.... wow !

And the famous inns/hotels scattered around the lakes...

The Beauty of Nature, His hand at work

cb,
This is a beautiful thread. I remember when we first chatted and I commented that you had taught me something because I had never heard anyone refer to living in "Cascadia". When I googled it, I was amazed by the information I read.

Your thread is full of beauty, not unlike the woman who initiated the post. I've always wanted to visit the Northwest and now, even more so. I love your pictures. Thank you for sharing.

A friend of mine visited your area a few months ago. He was kind enough to share the beauty he saw with me via his photos. I'm going to contact him and ask him to return to Lit and post his photos. They are breathtaking also.

Again, thank you. :rose: A truly beautiful thread.

Apple - oh thank, you so much for your kind words.
you warm me straight to my soul. :rose:

I hope your friend will come back to Lit and post his photos. I look forward to seeing them.

The next time someone asks, "If you can live anywhere you wanted, where would you choose?"....I'm going to show them this picture. I love it. Thanks for sharing the beauty. I'm adding that visit to my bucket list.

I'm starting to think about offer one of you a house swap for a week or so. I don't have the scenery to offer you that equals that, but I could toss one of my brothers from their cabins and use them instead. They have nice views. :rose:
