Ever get a free weekend, when your spouse is out of town and you get to do anything and everything you may want to do?

Mine started a few hours ago, looking forward to it.

Somehow, the wife being gone doesn't make me free to do anything I want on a whim. There are chores and other commitments, you know.

Besides, I'm old enough that getting wild risks more injury than fun.

Tomorrow night my wife flies away to Fiji with Daughter and Grand daughters..and son in law...for 11 days, and yes I have made plans for playing. I have squirreled away about $1100, for entertainment..

I pretty much do whatever I want anyhow, however, my wife and daughters have Girl Scout Camp every year.
I always look forward to that.
As much as I love my family, I CRAVE solitude.
I'd live at the North Pole or Antartica, if I could.

I tend to do stupid shit. Just to prove (to whom? is a good question) I’m not even a teenie bit codependent. I’m mature like that. And I’m not even married - yet.

I always plan to do stuff, but, when they’re not around I tend to just mope around and get nothing done.

Being single I have nothing but free weekends, I look forwards eagerly to when I have an attached weekend... lol

Thinking back to when I did co-habit (never been married) years ago, I mostly did nothing when I was alone for a day or two. I'm a very lazy person at heart so when I have a chance to do nothing I take it with both hands!

"Free" weekend? Gawd. I turn 69 in two weeks. If she was out of the house for the entire two days I could actually manage to get chores done without interference.

I'm retired so I get to do a lot of what I want anyway, but with her gone for ten days, I have the whole house to myself. So my wife and family flew out Saturday, and on Sunday A lady I've known for ten years visited me for a few hours as I knew she would...I mean, I called and asked her if I gave her $300, would she, and of course she would.
