A first impression doesn't have to be your last.

Some posters don't always make a good first impression. It is one person's perception versus another's approach. We play the odds as to whether the doorway of approachability opens or shuts in our face.

But have you ever been wrong about another poster? If so, are you willing to give them another chance or do you feel that there are so many other posters more worthy of your attention?

Yeah, there was this one guy. . .the first time we interacted I thought he was a complete jerk. But, a few weeks later we were posting on a thread together and I realized that maybe he wasn't the arrogant s.o.b. I thought he was. Now he's a very close friend.

So, yeah. Everyone has facets of personality that aren't shown on the board .. I'm really a very serious chic, but here I'm a flirty sex fiend. Both are part of me .. only one is shown here, mostly.

Everyone is worthy of attention .. people are just so damned interesting.

No, I don't judge people by their first post to me. I always give someone the benefit of a doubt if they come off rather crass. Everyone has a bad day now and then.

Now, after three or four rather pointed posts to me that are less than polite, I get their drift.

Yes...I have made the mistake of evaluating a fellow poster before I got to know them...but I am ALWAYS willing to give second chance. Sometimes I misinterpret someone's intentions.

There was this one poster (who shall remain nameles), I never went into his threads because he flirted with all the ladies. I assumed he'd be arrogant or conceited or really full of himself. I found out later that I was wrong.
