That is a very interesting question by Mr Hastings. Something tells me we will get no answer.

That all seems fishy to me, I have to say. How could she be writing that and trying to sell it and all with that kind of abuse going on? I'm not saying it isn't true, just saying something doesn't sound right about it. I hope she's not in a bad situation.

That's about what her current blog post says. I put in a comment, but as expected, it's not there since it had to be approved. Amazon comments are probably the best way to go if you can.

No word from Goodreads or anyone else, I guess with the holiday it's not surprising. Maybe after the weekend.

The abusive husband is true.

However.....her claim to SW he did not want her writing erotica is false.

Think about it, her pen name is her real last name, or even if it is not its the one she was using when she was with him and he knew what it was. She is not hiding her published works from him or her FB or twitter or anything else. Fact is he had no issue with her making money from it.

His issue was the writing led to her coming to places like lit and a BDSM forum to "research" which meant, heaven forbid she was now speaking to other men and even women, you know the kind that might say, your husband is a dick ditch him.

He was a total control freak.

Think of Julia Roberts Sleeping with the Enemy......that is him right there.

As for writing about the abuse? That's what happens when you get into the wrong BDSM crowd when you are already broken. She wrote about abuse because she was conditioned to accept it as the norm.

Its sad because I also know she went into just as bad if not worse.

Yesterday Turner's e-book total was 291 on amazon today 290 so they pulled another one. That makes four that I am aware of including mine.

I am wondering how long it will be before she is booted. There are multiple people complaining and I think it won;t take long for them to realize the scope of her piracy.

I took a stroll thru her Amazon offerings again just now. This time, I noted her rated works (only 6 of 290 books have ratings and 3 are 1's.) So I followed the links to the ratings and read the associated comments. She was being accused of copying stories back in March. I think there were links to original material that were removed from the comments by admins but one still mentions the original author and title but not the source site.

Links are not allowed in comments so that's why they were removed.

The comments are not looked into because odds are a lot of people throw false accusations out all the time so better that they don't pull books on word of mouth.

I just e-mailed laurel the complete list that SMG and Jag had compiled. If I am not mistaken, in the past Manu has filed those with sites stealing stories I am sure they could do it with amazon, but honestly as the site owner I would think if Laurel contacted KDP with that list she may not have to go that far.

Just checked Turner's page and she is down to 207 stories. It was 290 early today. I'm surprised this is happening on a holiday. Then again sometimes when they block books they stay active for a couple more days.

I clicked the link from the first post of the thread, where I was seeing that 290 number earlier, and I'm seeing 87 right now.

There is an email on her FB page, if you click on the "About" link or something, although I haven't sent anything so I'm not sure it's active. It is the same email I remember.

If you can ask her without a lot of fall out, I'd be interested in the reply, if you got one.

Also, I forgot to say that Laurel says she does what she can but Amazon is not always very responsive on this issue. I think maybe after the weekend I'll see about filing my own report on my story if it's still up. Don't mean to let it go but I'm out of town, we're trying to have a yard sale, and I figure the weekend means things won't happen as quickly anyway.

MugsyB and a couple of others have shared the link again on FB. Every little bit helps.
