My team is the Chicago White Sox, and I went to a game yesterday, on the 4th. They had some nice fireworks after the game too.

The neat thing was when we came out of the stadium around 10pm we were higher up and we could see all the fireworks from the surrounding suburubs. It was the most amasing site. Fireworks all around as far as the eye could see. It was a beautiful thing. It seemed like the whole world was celebrating our independence. I could just imagine the MILLIONS of people watching the same thing. I was thinking of how for every flash of light about a group of 50,000 people were lying under in it in awe. watching 10 go off at the same time means 500,000 people were in awe at that moment and were just proud to be in americans. Just imagine looking at the skyline and seeing fireworks EVERYWHERE as far as the eye could see. This is what our boys over seas are fighting for, and this is a great thing.

Happy Birthday America!

<smiling>.....how very cool, laz......

i watched the Macy's Fireworks in NYC last night on NBC....totally blown away by them.....turtle was on the phone as i oohed and aahed over them....when the camera flashed to people who were on banks of the east river......you could see it in their faces just how breathtaking the fireworks were upclose.....you could see them surging with pride about being American as patriotic songs played....it was a beautiful sight, as well.........;)

You're lucky...

When we Brits have a big firework display we're grateful if the thing actually works.

Millenium Night. We were promised a 'River of Fire' as the River Thames was set alight...

HA!
