8 second Ride

Jake smiled and nodded. "Then no sad thoughts, and let's try to have as much fun as possible. Now, that being said, I would rather spend some time alone getting to actually know you and have a conversation. I'll leave it up to you, but would you care to join me at my hotel room? No sex, but there might be cuddling?" He said, hopeful of the cuddling, but not wanting to rush the sex.

She laughed playfully as he made sure he wasn't pressuring her into anything. "I would love to be alone with you! And there better be some cuddling involved!" She winked at him. "Just let me shoot Rachel a text.." She quickly texted her friend telling her to have a good time and that she was safe and had a ride. she slid out from the booth and let him lead her out of the bar and over to his truck.

Jake opened the door and helped Kali into the back seat of the truck, before walking around and sliding next to her. He motioned for the driver to head back to the hotel, before pulling Kali nearly onto his lap."Normally I'd drive, but tonight sounded like a good night to have a drink or two, so I took the tour up on its designated driver policy," he said, happy the drive to the hotel took almost no time at all, as they pulled up to the front of the hotel. He hopped out of the truck, for once happy it wasn't his he was driving, before making his way to help Kali out. "I plan to stay in for the night once we get to my room. Is there anything we need?" He asked her, waiting patiently.

"That sounds like a very responsible thing to do." She smiled as she slid over towards him in the back of the truck. Her legs were across his lap as they made the short drive to his hotel. She took his hand as he helped her out of the truck. She shook her head as he asked if they needed anything, "nope. I think we are set for the night." She followed his lead into the hotel, their fingers intertwined as they walked to the elevator.

Jake quickly hit the button for the second floor, for once happy that he was put on a lower floor. It meant that he was able to get Kali back to his room for some more personal conversation, as well as some good quality cuddling. He would never admit it out loud, but he loved to cuddle.

He used his key card to get the door open and she followed behind him. It was a pretty standard room but it was cozy. She looked around and then turned back to face him. She smiled as she slipped her hands into her back pockets and gave her most innocent smile, "so I believe I was promised some cuddle time?"

Jake chuckled at that statement, as well as the way Kali was standing. He suddenly stepped towards her, picking her up and carrying her over to the bed, before dropping her on it, only to quickly slide onto the bed behind her, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her in tight. "I believe the cuddling has begun " he said with a smile.

She squealed in delight as he scooped her up and dropped her on the bed. As he climbed into the bed with her she slipped her boots off and got comfy against him. She laughed playfully as they settled back into the bed and his arms wrapped around her. "Now THIS is a great way to spend the evening!"

Jake nodded, agreeing wholeheartedly. "Indeed it is. Let me get a bit more comfy," he said, before standing up and grabbing a change of clothes and heading into the bathroom to change. After changing into what he normally slept in, he smiled as he looked at Kali, before offering, "I have a few t shirts if you'd like them?"

She watched as he disappeared into the bathroom to change, it seemed she had finally found herself one of the few remaining "good guys." When the door opened again she smiled, he looked relaxed and comfortable, just as she wanted him to be. She was relieved when he offered her a shirt, "that would be great actually!"

Jake smiled, before grabbing a shirt for Kali to wear. He knew it'd probably swamp her, but he also knew there'd be othing better than seeing her in his shirt while they talked and cuddled. "I hope you're okay with this one," he said with a smile, holding up a well worn t shirt that he kept around to lounge in.

He could have handed her just about anything and she would have been happy, simply because it was his. She smiled and stood up, taking the shirt and stepping into the bathroom to change. She slipped out of the skirt and shirt she had on and into his well worn tshirt. It was definitely too big for her, but that was the point. It hung off her a little and stopped just short of mid thigh. She came back out and smiled, "much better!" She climbed back into the bed with him, feeling his arms wrap right back around her.

Jake smiled as he saw Kali walk back towards him in his shirt. There definitely was something about seeing a woman in your clothes that really looked good. He wrapped his arms back around her, before kissing the back of her shoulder softly. "What's the real Kali like, the one no one sees on a daily basis?" He asked, wanting to know as much as he could about this amazing woman in his arms.

She relaxed back against him, looking over her shoulder a little at him as she smiled. "Hmm the real Kali huh? Well for starters, I'm more of a homebody. I love just being able to relax and curl up with movies or a tv show and just not have to put on some front. I'm actually kinda a dork.. I laugh at stupid things, I sometimes eat cereal for dinner and stay in pajamas all day." She laughed as she said it. "There are times I enjoy going out, but that's why I can enjoy those times, bc I don't do it constantly." She shrugged, "how about you? What's the real story on you?"

Jake shrugged slightly, pulling Kali closer in the process. "Honestly, I prefer puttering around on my ranch. I'm more at home getting dirty playing with my dogs and horses than I am dressing up and trying to play a part. I ride bulls because it is fun and is something I'm passionate about. I don't do it for the fame or wealth, but there are days I know I'd rather sit back and read a good book or watch a movie rather than go out and have thousands of people watch me ride," he said, kissing the back of her neck softly. "I really just enjoy being at home, having time to myself to do whatever I feel like doing. Not the hectic schedule of the rodeo."

She smiled as she felt him kiss her neck.. Her fingers tracing lightly over his legs on either side of her. "You know that now each time I know you're riding I won't be able to sleep until I know you're in one piece right?" She looked over her shoulder and smiled at him before lightly kissing his cheek. "I don't care how good you are... It will always be the case."

Jake chuckled at that. "You and my cousin would get along just fine. She does the same thing, and almost always texts me after seeing me ride to make sure I'm okay. I think I'd enjoy hearing your voice or seeing you after a ride though," he said softly, kissing Kali gently.

She smiled, "well you're cousin sounds pretty smart to me!" She winks before kissing him back softly. "So how much longer do I get you to myself?"

Jake thought for a minute, before deciding. "You can stay all night if you'd like, and then before I head back to the arena we can say goodbye, or if you'd rather head home tonight, we can make that happen. What sounds good to you?" He asked, squeezing her a little more tightly.

She smiled, "I wasn't fishing for an invite, but now that it's been offered- I can't think of a better way to spend my night than right here with you!" She snuggled back against him, her head leaned back against his chest, just listening to his heart beating.

Jake smiled, chuckling softly at Kali. He was happy she was excited about spending time and cuddling up with him to fall asleep. He always slept better when he had someone to hold, but something told him that being with Kali would be even better than what he knew. He kissed her softly, before rolling and pulling her onto his chest as he settled on his back. "Ask me any question," he said, kissing her nose.

She laughed as she laid over his chest, "a question huh? Alright, why me?... I mean- you caught my eye back at the arena.... It was your eyes that hooked me first."

Jake was surprised by the question, so quickly said, "Let me think about the answer real quick." He wasn't quite sure how to put into words that it seemed like when he saw her, something just felt right about her, and he knew he'd regret missing this chance. He composed his thoughts, before answering, "Honestly, I saw you with your friend at the meet and greet, and something just felt right to me. It felt like I'd regret not taking the chance. Plus, you have an amazing smile."

She wasn't prepared for that answer and it made her genuinely smile. It was so sweet yet honest and she knew exactly what he meant when he said it. She kissed him lightly on the lips, "I felt the same way about you."

Jake chuckled and then looked at her, an eyebrow raised. "No thought of a big, dumb cowboy in plaid and chaps crossed your mind?" He asked playfully, tickling her sides lightly.
