Americans are about to decide whether or not to give President Donald Trump a second term. One of his key selling points is the progress we have made in restoring American manufacturing.

Here you can read how much the Trump administration has led the nation in rebuilding jobs, output, wages, and exports. But how did that happen? What policies created the Trump boom?

Tax cuts helped all U.S. businesses. The general approach of economic nationalism boosted confidence. But there were at least 7 specific policies that gave a bit lift to manufacturing:

You do realize that a lot of people here look upon that list as a litany of error; i.e., the US is acting like a bully and oppressing other nations instead of the Obama strategy of apologetic submission to their whims and desires. It is simply not how they see themselves as citizens of a nation that is no more exceptional than any other. As long as Trump (or any Republican) is President, they view us as the nexus of evil; the exploiters of the underdogs. I mean, come'on man, he built up the military for a reason, to intimidate others into saying yes sir when he demands they prostrate themselves.

‘Winning’ policies?

The offshoring of American manufacturing jobs has not reduced, and all the Executive Orders he signed isn’t fixing America’s trade deficits. In fact, the deficit has been growing well above trend every year since 2016. The opposite of ‘winning’.

Despite lying about all the new steel mills opening in a rally speech, 0 have been built or reopened.
Wisconsin is still looking for those thousands of Foxconn manufacturing jobs.

The trade war and pissing match with China, coupled with an overinflated US dollar and redonkulous tariff strategies has further fucked manufacturing jobs and farmers soundly.


Drump is managing the US like his multiple failed businesses.
