new lyrics

I see your hair is burnin'
Hills are filled with fire
If they say I never loved you
You know they are a liar
Drivin' down your freeways
Midnite alleys roam
Cops in cars, the topless bars
Never saw a woman...
So alone, so alone
So alone, so alone

L.A. Woman--The Doors

here's one...

"I've just closed my eyes again
Climbed aboard the *********** train
Driver take away my worries of today
And leave tomorrow behind"

Dreamweaver--Gary Wright

Another...(One of my faves)

Thinkin' 'bout the times you drove in my car.
Thinkin' that I might have drove you too far.
And I'm thinkin' 'bout the love that you laid on my table.

I told you not to wander 'round in the dark.
I told you 'bout the swans, that they live in the park.
Then I told you 'bout our kid, now he's married to Mabel.

oops just did!

The wall on which the prophets wrote
Is cracking at the seams.
Upon the instruments if death
The sunlight brightly gleams.
When every man is torn apart
With nightmares and with dreams,
Will no one lay the laurel wreath
As silence drowns the screams.
See that no one answered this one

You're trying to make your mark in society
You're using all the tricks that you used on me
You're reading all them high-fashion magazines
The clothes you're wearing, girl, are causing public scenes

Here's another...

Want some whiskey in your water?
Sugar in your tea?
What's all these crazy questions they askin' me?
This is the craziest party there could ever be...
Don't turn on the lights, 'cause I don't want to see!

Hi all

Just wondering because everyone is talking about the 70's if anyone could help me with what people wore back then (what type of clothing and if possible show me some pics of cloths), as you could probably tell i was to young to remember back then. I would appreciate any input as i have a 70's-80's night coming up and i havent got a clue to wear.

Thanks

Lady :)

I keep on wan'dring on the face of this earth
Meeting so many people who are trying to be free
And while I wander I hear so many words
Language barriers broken now we've found the key

I'm Just a Singer in a Rock n Roll Band Moody Blues

The first time that I saw you girl
I knew it I just had to make you mine
But it's so hard to talk to you
With fellas hanging round you all the time
I want you for my sweet pet
But you keep playing hard to get
I'm going round in circles all the time

Dizzy--Tommy Roe

Try this one...from 1969--

Last night as I got home about a half past ten
There was the woman I thought I knew
In the arms of another man
I kept my cool, I ain't no fool
Let me tell you what happened then
I packed some clothes and I walked out
And I ain't going back again...

When rain has hung the leaves with tears
I want you near to kill my fears,
To help me to leave all my blues behind.

For standin' in your heart

Donovan...Catch The Wind (Yes it is OK to look up the artist...especially a one-hit wonder like RB Greaves...LOL)

Try this set...(another one-hit wonder)

Listen people to a story
that was written long ago,
'bout a kingdom on a mountain
And the valley folks below.
On the mountain was a treasure
Hidden deep beneath a stone,
And the valley people swore
They'd have it for their very own.

Go ahead and hate your neighbor,
go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of heaven,
you can justify it in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowing,
come the judgement day,
On the bloody morning after.............

One Tin Soldier (the Legend of Billy Jack) Coven and yes I looked up to see who sang it! I had never even heard of them, but I definitely knew the song! lol.

The preacher talked to me and he smiled,
Said, "Come and walk with me, come and walk one more mile.
Now for once in your life you're alone,
but you ain't got a dime, there's no time for the phone."

I've Gotta Get A Message To You--Bee Gee's

('Morning toni...hugs and smooches)

try this...and I am off to work--
(Love this oldie...I bet annabelle gets it!)

On board were the Twelve:
The poet, the physician, the farmer, the scientist,
The magician and the other so-called Gods of our legends.
Though Gods they were -
And as the elders of our time choose to remain blind
Let us rejoice and let us sing and dance and ring in the new....

One song I drag out on occasion just because!

here's one

But all that's left is a place dark and lonely
A terraced house in a mean street back of town
Becomes a shrine when I think of you only
Just two up two down

(Chorus has title)

No Milk Today Herman Hermits

He went away and you hung around
And bothered me every night
And when I wouldn't go out with you
You said things that weren't very nice
