The Bush Regime reneged on funds earmarked for the United Nations Family Planning Assistance organization. This was money that would have been used for contraception, sex education, maternal health care and AIDS education.

Not only that, at the recent UN Population Conference, the Bush Regime tried to overturn international agreements. The Asian countries had come to Bankok to talk about contraception and HIV, but the US delegation, which included a man who had previously represented the Vatican and a woman who lectured the Asians on the "rhythm method"(which is a joke), tried to delete any references to "reproductive health". As a result, our country ended up on the outside looking in.

This is an idea that comes with an address, a place where we can offer aid as well as dissent, a dollar as well as a message to the women of the world that we care.

One dollar per person, or you can give a dollar for each of your family members, or for everyone in the office.

The goal is $34,000,000, which will replace what the Bush Regime took away. Won't you help?

Just proofs how clueless most people in the Bush Admin are. Educated women make everything better in a country. This has been proven over and over.

If you have never heard of the Grameen Bank in Bangladesh then have a look here( http://www.grameen-info.org/ )

They give micro credit loans to women for a variety of purposes and help with women's education. The organization has been very sucessful.
