This is just a favorite in our household. We have Nightmare decorations all over our house, my wife has Nightmare tattoos, we incorporated lines from the movie in our wedding vows (the whole, "My dearest friend, if you don't mind, I'd like to join you by your side, etc. etc.).

Holy cats, someone actually posted the one I was going to! I watched this with my kid, and found it oddly endearing. And Viva Bianca is a very good actor.

Day 14: A movie with a prince or princess, king or queen.
Well, if I can't choose a knock-off Hallmark film, I will go the entire other direction. The Lion in Winter, based on the stage play of the same name, is the story of King Henry II (Peter O'Toole), who temporarily releases his wife, Eleanor of Aquitaine (Katharine Hepburn, who won the Academy Award for her performance) from his imprisonment in order to wrangle out a line of succession during Christmastide. Along are the King's sons, all of which have been plotting against him (as well as against each other, and with each other). Add in the French king and his half sister, who is not only Henry's mistress (well, one of them) but also his heir's betrothed by treaty, and you have more intrigue and violence than usual at a family gathering on Christmas Eve.
It is an utterly unconventional love story between Henry and Eleanor, and the cast is beyond brilliant. Besides O'Toole at the height of his charisma and Hepburn in probably the greatest performances of her career, you have Timothy Dalton in is film debut, and Anthony Hopkins in his first major role. (My favorite trivia point is that Dalton was first offered the part of James Bond after this movie, taking over for Sean Connery. Dalton felt he was too young.) It isn't accurate historically (there was no Christmas Court in 1183), but it feels accurate to the characters. This is a big, passionate, dramatic, and fun film, and I love it dearly.

My older sister loves this movie and used to watch it whenever it was on when I was a kid.
Honestly I’m sorta torn between Cary Grant and Denzel Washington as the better lead. But I love my sister so I’ll give this one the edge.
