3 things about me

1. There only two men on the AH that can make me feel as good as the women do.

2. I love photography, have lots of pics of Venice, SF, flowers, toys (not sex toys), faces, landscapes, *me*.

3. I have a few dozen photos of my minge, even a couple good ones of my clit (I've got lenses for macro-photography). I've shared them with only one man (Don't ask).

There are no men on the AH that make me feel as good as the women do......sorry guys, no disrespect meant, its just my way.

2. I love photography, have lots of pics of Venice, SF, flowers, toys (not sex toys), faces, landscapes, *me*.

Me too.........me camera goes everywhere with me.........the shower......the bathroom........ to name but a few. I take pictures everywhere, especially since the arrival of my digi camera. My family and friends are constantly hiding from me. My favourites though, are the buckets-full of pictures I have taken of where I live. Its a beautiful stunning place, and I love it. It never bores me, and there is always something happening in the landscape, winter and summer.

3. I have a few dozen photos of my minge, even a couple good ones of my clit (I've got lenses for macro-photography). I've shared them with only one man (Don't ask).

Thank god !!! I KNEW, just knew, I couldn't be the only person who takes.....those sort of pictures.

Ooops, sorry Perdita, didn't mean to hijack your spot. I'll butt out now.

hmmmmmmmmm, let me see.........

1. I have silver hair (honestly), and women especially, are perturbed and confused when I refuse to colour it.

2. I love rock music as much as I love opera and oratorio. I can frequently be seen....and heard.....driving to the resounding sound of AC-DC.....love the look on people's faces when they hear me coming, and then see this little old silver haired lady...cracks me up.

3. One of my previous bosses told me I was wierd. He couldn't have paid me a nicer compliment.

P, I am so terribly curious...who did you send the pictures to??? LOL

I have never taken a picture of my clit. Hell, only until a few years ago did I ever actually look at it! Catholic upbringing and all made it seem all soooo wrong!!

I remember going to school (I went to a Catholic elementary school) and saw pages of a nudie mag strewn on the sidewalk. It was the first glance I got of a pussy...I was shocked and not quite sure if I should go to confession. I think I was either 11 or 12 at the time.

I have been asked to do some nudes, but I still feel ashamed of my body...hence the clothes on my AV or covering breasts...

Don't get me wrong, the female body is beautiful. I love looking at it...just someone else's, not mine!

-Once again, I'm unable to make it out to Burning Man this year.

-Miss it terribly, but I also remember when 10,000 people was considered a LARGE festival and now i'ts up around ~23,000 at peak. It was less organized back then too. But all things change.

-Mrs. 420 & I are planning on going to see "Goodbye, Lenin" tonight at our local beer, pizza, and comfy seats/couches theater.

I'm very happy to be a kept woman - as long as I get to choose the keeper(s).

Heyyyy, I just noticed. I'm not a virgin in anymore. I appear to have become 'experienced'. When did that happen? I never even noticed Lucky sneak in and out .... damn she's good. Deflowered and didn't feel a thing.

I've just realised why certain names are missing from the posts ......its that damn football match. *changing channels, very very quickly*.I'm going to hear enough about it when I collect the lads later, I don't want to even know what they are talking about.

M., there's a long thread on the games. I know nothing of football from any continent but the posts are fun to read. P.

Yes, I know. But still... I need something!!!!!

  1. I own the DVD version of every film adaptation of a Shakespearean play starring Kenneth Branagh except Hamlet, which isn't as yet available in DVD format. (to include the infamous Busby Berkeley homage, Love's Labour's Lost (2000))
  2. I don't care for Laurence Olivier's excessively abridged and highly overrated Amos & Andy Present: Othello.
  3. I sincerely believe that were The Bard alive today, he'd prefer Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet to Zeffirelli's--visionary iconoclast that he was.

Oh la la, Clare Q. I have about 60 videos and DVDs of the plays. I think 8 different Hamlets. I was surprised at the Manhattan Dane, not bad at all. I have 4 A&C's, a 12th Night in Russian, and lots of the movies "after" Sh're.

Ken B. is a very fine actor, but he's always missing something for me. Did you know Nureyev's and Barishnikov's dancing? Both great, but Nureyev had the soul. Same diff with Callas and Joan Sutherland (heart and soul vs. perfect technique). Branaugh's missing a soul for me. (I loved the opening of his Henry V though.)

Perdita

edit: Just looked at my log. I have 89 vids/dvds (9 Hamlets, 4 AYLs, 4 Hen.Vs and RIIIs, 3 Lears & Macbeths, 5 R&Js, 4 TNs.)

1. I like people.

2. I'm becoming irritated with my ex-wife's 19 year old cat.

3. I'm reading "The Day the Voices Stopped" about a man who started hearing voices at 14 and heard them for the next 30 years.

Colly, the National Shakespeare Co., with Michael Bogdanov as director, performed the Lancastrian tetralogy + the Henry VIs & RIII, sometime in the late 80s or early 90s. Each play was well filmed, though not as a "film". The cast is ensemble, with some players reading more than one part in one play, all of them in each play. Barry Stanton, who plays Time in H5 is Falstaff.

I borrowed the videos from our library and made copies  . I've watched the H4s and Richards many times for the actors. Throughout, Michael Pennington is Hal. In the H4s my fave Hotspur of all is played by Andrew Jarvis, who is also my favourite R3. Pennington also plays a fine R2.

It's Shakespeare (not pure history), but I think you would enjoy and appreciate these 8 plays from beg. to end (RII, H4 1&2, H5, H6 1-3, RIII).

Perdita :)

Perdita,
I am unfamiliar with the Manhattan Dane, unless you're referring to the Ethan Hawke vehicle. Now there is a soulless golem of a man. Albeit that version of Hamlet wasn’t the train wreck that Mel Gibson’s geriatric Hamlet was. I particularly liked Diana Venora’s (the former Lady Capulet) and Bill Murray’s performances. Branagh’s efforts are, to me, the consummate realization of Shakespeare in the cinema. The singular depth of mood, texture and substance—not to mention the ambition—of his thespian and directorial artistry in his Shakespearean films awes me. I prefer the medium of film to anachronistic attempts to recreate the Elizabethan stage. My first introduction to The Bard was via a snowy, early 1970s, UHF rerun of Midsummer Night's Dream. That left an indelible mark on my, then, five year old mind. I have not seen that film in 30 years, and yet I can clearly hear Mickey Rooney saying, “What fools these mortals be.” I mention this only because I’ve noticed that many traditionalists seem to chafe at Branagh’s audacious effrontery against and usurpation of the glory and orthodoxy of the legitimate stage. I, being first and foremost a cineaste, have an alternate view.

Dance is an art form that is all but lost on me. I have, however, seen Baryshnikov dance Swan Lake on television. Perhaps I’ll download the 1967 Rudolf Nureyev version. Nureyev was a bit before my time.

As to Callas vs. Sutherland, I don’t have a sufficient frame of reference to render an informed opinion. I’m not a huge fan of opera. The operas I like tend to be of Germanic origin for some reason, and I prefer the tenors and baritones to the soaring screeching sopranos – excepting the choral part of Beethoven’s 9th (which isn’t really opera, and even then I prefer the baritone and tenor parts) and the Flower Duet from Lakmé (the only thing truly lovely that I’ve heard come from the throats of sopranos.)
