Uugh! OK so everyonce and a while you just have to treat yourself. Yesterday evening instead of going to the gym a couple friends and I went to a rather nice seafood place nearby that sits out over a lake. We went out on the deck and sat down and proceeded to drink 3 bottles of Caymus Cunundrum (the best white wine) and go through 2 orders of garlic infused snow crab claws, 1 order of rosemary steamed shrimp, and then 1-1/2 pounds of the sweetest best tasting cracked king crab claws!

All the while watching a magnificent sunset across the water. Ahhh with a nice 88 temperature a stiff breeze and low humidity. Watching the clouds change with the setting sun, drinking wonderful wine on the lake during golden hour. The only thing that would have made it better would have been to be able to share the experience with some of my friends from Lit!

Of course now I'm paying for it, as I sturggle to ready myself to be at the theater by 7:00! But in spite of the thick tongue and pounding head, it was worth every bit!:D

I am glad you had a good time. :)
I have never heard of that wine before.
Hope your pounding head abates. :rose:

Ahhhh all better. The life giving cup of coffee and doughnut cures all!

Debbie, Caymus Cunundrum is probably my favorite white wine. It is a blend of grapes by the Caymus Vineyard of the Pacific Northwest I believe. Or they might be a California winery. It is a light wine that still manages a good body and full taste. It has a hint of fuit with a nice sweet finish. The perfect complement to crab claws!

It is hard to find, but if you see it, I highly recommend. We had a 2000 last night, if you can find a 1997 that is the best!

It would probably be very hard to find here. :)

Hmmm in NZ? Yeah might be a difficult find indeed! Although there are some very fine New Zealand wines!

Dunkin' Donuts? HELL NO! Krispy Kremes of course!:D
