If you felt like your confidence was not as strong as you might like, going out and starting a thread on Lit is a good start. Many, many young women have tried and either failed or quit after a few weeks. There are hundreds of men that are interested in you as a bright, witty, funny, and intelligent woman. They may start with your sexy body, but they stay because of you mind.
I will agree that most are not what you want. You initiated a line of communication, a dialog that has many men interested. You can take this new found confidence into the business world, law enforcement, real estate, or whatever field interests you and succeed.
