President Biden can no longer “message” the way he used to. His age is impacting his ability to speak smoothly as his stutter makes appearances more frequently.

President Biden also doesn’t consistently present as vigorous / healthy.

Add that ^ to his flagging support from younger voters and those who WRONGLY opposed / oppose his handling of the Israel-Hamas war, and his electoral viability was severely compromised.

Vice President Kamala Harris has the capacity to message better, she presents better, and there is some daylight between her and President Biden on Israel-Gaza, on some gender issues, some environmental issues, and some generational economic issues.

President Joe Biden lost some of the coalition that got him elected in 2020, and Vice President Kamala Harris has apparently brought some of them back into the fold with her candidacy. (A candidacy that wouldn’t have happened if President Biden hadn’t stepped aside.)
