Did you make resolutions on what you wanted to do in relationship to Literotica in 2013? If so, have they been fulfilled?

I made two.

I wanted to move up to the top ten "Most Productive Authors" list.

Check. With my story ("Satisfaction Ashram") that posted today, I took over the #8 spot. (It would/will take two years of stories at my production rate to take over #7 from here, so no such resolution for 2014.)

And I wanted to still be on the forum, not permitting a longtime stalker to harass me off of it.

Check.

Get out a Magic of the Wood story for Earth Day this year: Fail Didn't manage to get it together until summer.

Finish Lowborn and get it out there. Done.

Get SOTM back on track. Fail.

Finish Jackin' Jill and get it out there. Pending. Halfway through the final chapter, so it will probably be done, but posting will be next year.

I did make the top 250 authors list as RR though. Wasn't expecting that.

2014 revives the two failed goals, and adds keeping up enough production to avoid falling off the bottom of the list with RR.

My only goals for the year were to get back to writing and submitting new stuff again, and to bring back the 'Pizza Boy at the Door' series.

The first one was accomplished with a stroker and 18 chapters split between two series.

The second one was also, with six chapters up at this point and another 15 or so to be released over time. I still don't have a final chapter for PBatD and not sure when I ever will...it has a life all its own and don't fight it. I figure when it is time for the ending, Kyle & Josh will tell me! LOL

They weren't resolutions, but I was pleased and humbled to find that I am ending the year with four of the top 100 stories for the year in GM, and that for 48 hours, I was at the very top of the list for the year with one.

2014? Get some more single shot stories that are already done up and finish feeding the plot bunnies that have been patiently waiting to be weaned off and released to the wild. PBatD will be the ongoing project along with the probability that a few new series will appear also.

Breaking into the top 250 Hall of Fame is the only specific goal I am setting.

Resolutions suck. JUST DEWW IT! Goals are OK though. My goals:

* Finish my current unfinished pieces, maybe even before 2014.
* Write up some story outlines, and follow them, somewhat.
* Don't get caught plagiarizing -- just give credit where credit is due.
* Maybe enter a contest or three. Can my ego stand this?
* Try to incorporate more of my old essays & songs & games into usable pieces.
* Resist the temptation to just post my rude songs as poetry -- they ain't.
* Continue editing-adapting my Uncle Ron's journals of his and friends' adventures.
* Get another six-some together and write about the RW experience.

OK, back to the salt mines.

I didn't have any resolutions for 2013 but I probably should for 2014. Although I continue to write, few stories end up on Lit. Next year that should change.

I guess if there's anything I'd like in 2014, it would be to make the top 100 of "favorite authors." Not likely with mostly a GM portfolio, but it would also be nice not to slip any farther out of the top half of the high 250.

I have nearly a year's worth of stories banked, so there should be no issues in getting close to the 700 entries mark by the end of 2014.

I don't recall, specifically. But I do know that I didn't reach any goals for quantity. That doesn't mean it was a lost cause. In terms of quality, I feel that my 6 submissions were the best I've done to date. In terms of growth, I'm happy with my 2013 production.

Get buff: Fail.

Get rich: Fail.

Trade up from wifey to Kate Beckinsale: Fail.

Teach my dog to fetch the paper without shredding it and burying it in the garden: Fail.

Drive over to NY and eat at the Ninja: Fail.

Finish restoring my classic 911: Fail.

Gather the courage to inform the in-laws that they have to stay at a friggin hotel next time they visit: Fail.

Replace the creaking floor board in front of the fridge: Fail.

Make my daughter wear something that doesn't cost more than the gnp of a small country: Fail.

Explain to wifey who's the boss around here without leaving her in a fit of laughter: Fail.

Learn how to eat a hard-shell taco on the go without wearing most of it afterwards: Fail.

But The Weapon was a great story, so the whole year wasn't a loss. :)

I wasn't writing anything here during resolution season. No Lit resolutions for 2013 for me. I can safely say that complete exceeded my total lack of a goal.

I think you found the holy grail. By not making any resolutions not only is it impossible for you to fail, but you also exceed your goals with every action you do. I might just follow that example for 2014... :)

My only two resolutions about writing on Literotica for the start of 2013 were:

Have more than 200 stories (not including poems) posted as oggbashan, and

Complete 50,000 words during NaNoWriMo without actually entering it.

I achieved both, but that was only because they were realistic, unlike my writing goals for 2012.

Did you ever reach your goals for 1012, Ogg?

No. That was a bad year. I managed to meet my goals for 1011.

I was younger then. My goal was to have sex with at least 300 different women.

Some of them were so different, they were weird.

On Lit.? I thought the conventional wisdom was that there weren't as many as 300 women on Lit.--regardless of the sign-in name they use. :D

I guess if there's anything I'd like in 2014, it would be to make the top 100 of "favorite authors."

OK, how about a little help here?

Where do you find that ranking list on the site? I am missing it somewhere.

Opps, gave the wrong reference. I was linking to where the top 10 story producers at Literotica can be found. RR links to the requested page, which is one of those indications of the Web site not being maintained, because the link from the Home page to that has claimed to be a temporary "sneak peek" feature for at least seven years that I know of.

The links on the author's pages by category are interesting, though. Had no idea I was on so many of the "spotlight" pages until I looked a couple months back.

No clue how the spotlight is determined, though. I know of stories with more views, votes, and higher scores in the category than some of mine that are "in the spotlight".

I only had one and failed it.

I was hoping to get my Succubus Summoning series updating monthly again. Managed to get it to sputter back to life and then got totally derailed when the new collection I put out for Excessica ended up being 20,000 words more than anticipated and ran late.

Next year I will be remembering not to put off the editing. Trying to hit a deadline and realising the 8 stories you have lying around all need rewrites exploded my productivity a little.
