So I get a Bowl pool thingy passed to me this week at work. It cost $5. I put my money in. Let's see how I do.

You're supposed to pick the winners of every bowl, then put down a number from 1-28. If the team you pick wins, you get the amount of points you put down. Most points wins.

So I was wondering what you sports fans would think of my picks. I'll put down all the bowl matchups here, then my next post will be my picks for the winners and the points I wagered on each.

Sorry, but you have the wrong team picked to win the Fiesta Bowl.

Trust me. Jim Tressel is god right now here in Ohio. god never loses.:D

Don't listen to that crazed Ohio woman :D you picked it correctly.

I like that idea, and I only looked your picks over quickly and the only one I would have changed is the Hawaii / Tulane game, I probably would have given it more points cuz I think Hawaii is blowing them out with little effort.

Well, if she's right and Ohio State wins, I'll be punished severely for it. So that should be revenge enough for her. :D

I realized this after I turned it in. If I had to change something, that game would probably be it, as Hawaii is playing on their own turf. I put down huge for Boise State against Iowa State in the Humanitarian Bowl because it's played on the blue turf at Boise State.

I also put down huge for my Domers, so if they lose, I'm fucked.

Oh yeah, that Boise State might come back to bite you.

Well good luck, I'm off to lunch it's been a rough day at "work" so far.

I'll do my sheet after I punch back in.

I doubt it. Boise State is 11-1, their only loss being at Arkansas. Iowa State is a good team, but good teams come to that wicked blue turf and get spanked. I'm thinking that's 23 points I can count on.

Already have enough bet on the Miami/OSU game, so I'll have to pass. Gimme the Buckeyes (even though I detest them) getting 13 points any damned day. Thats too good of a defensive team for that line.

Yes, Im a Buckeye fan:D I will take the 13 points. OSUs defense will keep it close.

I'll take your grudging respect.:D Something is going to have to give in that game. Either Miami's offense or OSU's defense. It's going to be an incredible game.

No handicaps in my pool.

OSU are 13-point 'dogs? Shit, I'd take that. Florida State was a 14-point 'dog to Miami and only barely lost their game.

Don't make me ignore you, too. I'll vaporize you and your ball-massaging threads in a heartbeat.

Just kidding.

Boise State plays it's "bowl game" at HOME! They win easy.

Ohio State will get waxed. Miami wins that game by 30 points - unless they actually put some effort in to it - then it should be a lot higher, lol.

All the more reason that NCAA football needs a tournament system.
I agree. As much as the BCS is a joke, it's the best that can be hoped for with a non-tournament, subjective process. All things considered, it balances things out somewhat nicely.

The fact that it's as imperfect as it is means it needs to go and there should be an 8-team tournament at the very least.

It wouldn't be so bad if the conference affiliations were gone. There's no reason a 7-4 Florida State team should go to the Sugar Bowl when there are at least a half-dozen teams who deserve it more. The Sugar Bowl should be able to tell the ACC to stick it; if the Seminoles are the best the conference has, they should have the right to pick someone better.

As I said I would TB4p

I see you came around on Boise State.

And Jesus! Betting the house on Miami, huh?

I'm not that confident in UCLA. Their program is in disarray right now. I don't know much about New Mexico, but then again, I only put 7 down on it.

West Virginia is pissed that ND got the Gator Bowl berth instead of them. I think they're going to take it out on the Cavaliers to the tune of 25 points for me. :)

We're exactly backwards on Air Force/VTech and exactly the same on Penn State.

And our Big Four picks are the same. But I have more points invested there than you do (82-70), so just between you and me, you'd better hope some of your other bowls come in. ;)

Anyone else want in? I know it's a little time consuming, but come on! It'll be fun!
