Ok, I did not get the first Christmas thread but this is the first "Top List" thread.

What were the top five events which affected you the most in 2000 in any way (loved, hated, fascinated, intrigued, etc.)? Whichever events grabbed your attention the most for whatever reason. For example: Presidential election, Millionaire TV show, Elian Gonzalez, John Rocker, Darva Conger, The Rock, Yugoslavia, Air France crash, Soviet sub Kursk disaster, Pope John Paul II visiting the Holy Land, Midwest forest fires, Playstation2, Yankees championship, Harry Potter, Tiger Woods, etc.)

Survivor,
Presidential election,
Millennium celebrations on TV
Genome project
Sydney olympics
