1st Lit Crush

The slight and short lived chat room crushes I had was based on how their minds work. Both had a way with words, except one appealed to my sapiosexual side and the other tapped into my kinky side.

I won’t say names, because I’m shy like that, but at one time I was talking to two guys. One I would have intellectual conversations with, mostly about business but there were fun topics too. I’d log in daily just to check for messages, even when I was going through a “done with lit” phase. But I wouldn’t call it a crush, it felt more like a friendship. Then one day he stopped replying. I guess that’s proof it wasn’t a crush, as I didn’t mourn his absence, or wonder what had happened, I just sent a final attempt at contact to make sure he was okay, then thought “ah well, see ya”.

The other - well the other came to mean a hell of a lot to me. He became the biggest crush I’ve ever had  He’s a close friend.

I'd be curious how many relevant crushes you've had in your time on Lit? People who really left an impact or that you still think about and talk to today?

One crush, still talking after two years. And one friend, who seems to know exactly when a cheeky comment will lighten a situation, and when to be serious. Those two have been the most significant lit connections I’ve had, and still talk to.

These aren't 1st but relevant as in they are friends and i think highly of them.
Ha_ha_on_me
Iamincognito
PCookie

These 3 are wonderful men I cherish.

I've been here 6 years and have had 3 relevant crushes. One welcomed me here and I still talk to on a very random basis and I'd gladly have a friendly meet up if the opportunity arose. :rose:
The second helped me find my way when I was questioning myself and my desires. I'd probably book a hotel room for that one if the fates aligned.
The third....I fell in love with even though I didn't mean too. My heart still hurts sometimes...because of my foolishness.
3 barometers I use to unfairly judge anyone in my life today ....oops lol

Like, the one that got away?

Nope. I tackled that shit. Mine.

Any thoughts I have for anyone in the past is nostalgia.

One of them I had....I think he knows it...NRJ....it remains from afar...

*Scurries away and hides in room*

I wonder if this is the Lit equivalent of the “three great loves of our life” that social media tells us we’re supposed to have.
The three great Lit-crushes.

I could put three Litsters into those categories. It’s an absolute bitch when you accidentally catch the feels like that for someone who clearly doesn’t rate you as highly as you rate them. It’s not foolish and I’m sorry you were hurt.
Been there, done that. :rose:

I was first here just after college, different handle. A woman and I became extremely close. I ‘thought’ I was in a rough spot, long term college relationship ending, she was in a much more difficult situation (nothing abusive or anything like that, just difficult) but we became so close, talking, IMing, lol... then texting. Finally we did get together once, it was amazing. Once she figured out her situation, she made a big move, and we slowly lost contact. Last I heard she was happy, new life, same but new career, I was always so happy things worked out well for her, she was a wonderful person. Thankful for that one weekend we had. And for how we helped each other through different but difficult times.

I often think that’s why I seek a more 1 on 1 relationship with friends here, no matter how they develop, I like connecting individually with people :) and it’s probably a result of that.

My first crush from here was over a decade ago when I posted under a different name. We talked about everything under the sun and were extremely close for years. Circumstances (being broke right out of college mostly) never allowed us to meet. We had genuine affection for each other for almost a decade. We slowly lost touch a few years ago and out of the blue probably a year or so ago his brother found me on Instagram and I found out that he passed away. I still think about him constantly and wish I could talk to him one more time.

I'm comfortable sharing names, and did for the original question. . but if just a number of total crushes... 8.. I've been here a long time and met both my wife and girlfriend here and they are included in that number :)

I had flirtations but I would have to say hardcore, real crush was KapitalK. We both posted in the word and song threads. I noticed him but saw he never really interacted with anyone so I didn't bother. Until one day I got a PM saying he posted a song he hoped I would like.

I was a goner.

Welcome back Fermina :)

Sexy smart girlie. I have missed you.

And you too, tin man. Kidding - but it is a bit like landing back in Oz. Just now I have orthopedic Danskos instead of glittery heels. :D

I mean, if anyone is tin man, I'd go for tnman... Because it's just missing one letter :p

But I get what you're saying :)
