Sadly true, but it's shame DSM V has removed the distinction between "Asperger's" and autism. Autistic people are not all the same and have different needs, just like the rest of the population. Calling someone 'disabled' or 'less able bodied' doesn't help much when one person needs a wheelchair and ventilator but another simply has trouble walking. Describing someone as 'high functioning' v 'low functioning' is so much worse than Asperger's v Autism. :-(

I hear ya. My son was diagnosed with Asperger's.
