That is the question I have been asking myself. I wonder why I log in since I am on the outer and no this is not about fitting in. Occasionally it would be nice for that to happen or for someone to show a genuine interest. Perhaps I am just too shy, reserved, paranoid to see things.
Oh well I guess I have had a few ups but mostly downers.

That's the internet for you, I guess but think I know how you feel fella. Shouldn't let it worry you though - their loss like.

Peace :)

I know what you mean Henry, the thing is that on a forum like this there are some lovely genuine people. The sad fact is though, that they are greatly outnumbered by a passing crowd of users.

The only way I've found is to give the benefit of the doubt and if that silk purse turns out to be a sows ear, move on squire, but don't let the bastards grind you down.

Go well!:)

its a numbers game man.
the greater number of times you try to put yourself out there,
the greater the odds of you getting a hit.
Kinda like the lottery only here IF you hit, you may get something
that can't be measured in cash.

I agree with that. No-one can love everyone of course but keep on keeping on. If you're kind to others and try to get involved, the worse they can do is still shut you out of their clique, but it really cannot be such a special clique if they reject good people.

IMHO

You have quite a lot of posts, even for eleven years so that tells me that you have had quite a bit of interaction with your fellow Litizens. I also see that you are from Australia and my guess is that the majority of Lit folks are from the U.S. and the time difference would make it more difficult to meet and maintain on going chats as opposed to emails. At any rate it seems to be something that you enjoy (I cannot fathom anyone doing anything for that long that wasn't enjoyable to them) so my advice would be to focus on the good that you get from it and hopefully there will be more to come.

Thanks everyone. Yeah I am going to enjoy my days at Lit just like real life you gotta take the good with the bad.
