11 inch dicks

Here's what turns me off in erotica, and it's usually male writers who do it. I'll be reading a fairly interesting lead in when all of a sudden the character takes out his throbbing, dripping 9-inch, 10-inch, or 11-inch cock. WHY mention an anomaly, when a normal 7-inch dick will do.

I know it's some kind of guy thing, but having had 5, 6, and 7 inch dicks in my mouth is quite sufficient. From what I've heard, women don't particularly like dicks pounding into their cervix. In fact a 5-inch dick with a 5-inch girth will probably do more for most women than the 11-incher.

Anyhow, that's my rant. When these anomalous dicks are described in a sex story, it's destroys credibility and makes me think of teenage virgin boys telling dirty stories in the dorm.

Your point is well taken. The same observation can be applied to breast size too. Whenever I am reading a story and run across the reference to DDD48 breasts or the 11 inch cock, I usually stop reading shortly there after.

In my stories, I use more indirect references to appearance, such as "firm", "abundant", "voluptuous", etc. These words can mean different things to different readers without painting the picture of an anotomical extreme.

The other side

Ray, playing devils advocate:

What both you said is true, but I can't count how many times I've received feedback saying something like.

"Your story was good, but I wish you had made the man bigger." or
"I liked your story, but wish the woman had really huge breasts!"

Sometimes I include very large men or women in my stories for just this reason, but I always try to at least allude to the fact that they are WAY bigger than normal. I do it because there is a group of people out there who get turned on by the thought of a woman being pounded by a twelve inch cock. Or by the thought of fondeling a woman with really huge breasts.

That's the magic of inference...

...over dimensions.

The most learning experience I had about anatomy was to read lots of erotica published by women and edited by women. Instead of the blueprint dimensions of a lover's cock it simply "filled me up" which could mean four inches or fourteen. I think there is a real knack to writing in a way where the reader, without really being aware, assigns his or her own perceptions to the story.

Of course, stories like this aren't likely to be very entertaining to those people who actually have no love life to speak of and seek all their fulfillment from "dirty" magazines, vids, and online.

CD-able and I attend the London erotica show each year and have as much fun watching the people as we do checking out the exhibits (of course we are exhibitors as well). The "dirty" men in anoraks head for the one stall that is filled with magazines, gigantic dildoes, and blow up dolls. The couples are usually looking at other things and I've watched more than one woman pick up a tiny vibrator (not even dildo shaped) and express far more interest in that than any Holmes knock-off. I'm not saying all women are like that, only that it's enlightening to watch.

My Pet Peeve

Yes, you've hit on it. Sizes. First, the size is up to the READER to determine. Anything so analytical as a size in inches puts the reader at a disadvantage, because they cannot picture in scientific measurements.

Second, bra sizes. I've been on a shopping excursion with my daughter. The number is the size around the ribs beneath the breasts. The cup size is more accurate, giving the girth of the breast, itself, in regards to the rib cage. Ugh!! A triple D at 44 inches is for a VERY large woman, and unless you're writing about an obese woman, is unrealistic. Please, people! If you're going to use measurements, then get them more accurate!

Just my two or three cents.

I'll very often click out of stories that offer too much detailed info about the physical attributes of its characters. I’m not just referring to the worn “shopping list” approach to character description, either.

If a character in an erotic story i’m reading is too accurately described, even if it's done well, i think it takes away from the reader being able to put him/herself into the story. That defeats the purpose for most of us, does it not? Don't we want to suck our reader’s brains into being a part of our writing, into living the lust as we write it?

I can't tell you how many times i've read stories wherein the writer went on at length about her "flowing raven locks" or the "velvet depths of her dark eyes" or described how tall she was or... you get the picture. I've got blonde hair, blue eyes, and i'm short. Try as i might, stories that are too descriptive about the way the protagonists look often leave me out in the cold as far as the fantasy goes.

Yes, yes, maybe i'm fantasy-impaired. Maybe i need to simply sub myself in for whomever was written into the part. The fact remains, however, that i click out of stories that detail the woman far more quickly and easily than i do those which leave much about her physical self to the imagination of the reader. I can’t believe I’m especially unique in this respect, either.

lol... okay, in RL, the biggest cock that I KNOW to be true and natural is 8.5 inches. And bossoms, I like them small... not the kind that can clog a toilet!

Cym...

I'm interested in what you said about how descriptions sometimes leave you out. When I wrote CDIII, my partner who often co-writes the books with me, said I needed more variety in the women. I mean, it obvious isn't it, we unconsciously write what we would personally want. So I went back and changed some of the characters to make them more down to earth or just varied (including a pregnant woman). Anyway, to my question, do you prefer less description or would you be accepting of a description (deep or shallow) that included "ordinary" people?

Oh CD, i love stories that include regular people. I'm fascinated with and drawn to regular people having exceptional moments in their lives.

My previous comments referred to stories in which each participant is *perfect*. Gorgeous, strong, smart, rich, able to fell potential partners with the flick of a perfectly mascara'ed eye or a to-die-for pec; you know the type. I get very tired of reading about those mythical people and have found i can't get my head into them with the kind of ease that i assume the authors intended.

Conversely, if the protagonists have a mole out of place or *almost* perfectly blue eyes or are too short or too hairy or have a weird laugh or are, in some way major or minor, sorta real, then - oh yes! - my interest/imagination/arousal is more liable to be piqued and tweaked.

More down to earth characters are more like all of us who read the stories, therefore we can identify with and be drawn into the sensations they're feeling and offering. Additionally, pregnancy, with all the swarming hormones, is a time of wildly immediate sexuality for many of us. Why this time is mostly ignored in erotica, i don't know. (Motherhood veneration and taboos?)

So, yeh, CD. More regular people. Variety. Small imperfections. Perfect.

I've never described equipment, male or female, to the point where it was actually given a dimension. The closest I've come to it was the one time when a female protagonist stood naked in front of her man for the first time. She did what all women do. She was concerned about her hips being too big and her breasts being to small to please him. That covered it. I don't even describe hair color, eye color, skin color, shape, size, nada... except in the most recent story. I figure that the reader gets an idea of what a character looks like based on personality and any serious physical descriptions on my part could jar them.

And, if a guy came at me with an 11" piece of equipment, I'd be going at him with a pair of hedgeclippers to cut his happy ass down to size. I'm a LITTLE muffin, not an elephant.

My thoughts, exactly

Yeah KM.

It's be nice to watch the Mr. 11 jackoff and make a show of it. Put him in a circus, on a stage or do what Hollywood does and make him a star.

But aim that thing at me when I'm vulnerable? Not on your life.

Yes, well, we weird, abnormal freaks with no love life who get all their fullfilment from "dirty" magazines, vids, and online sites (like this one) can appreciate "stories like that" as well.

Of course, I have a 14-inch (bad word) so maybe I'm a little more secure than most.

It's a guy thing.

I understand. It's a guy thing. I personally kind of got into it until my first relationship(I'm gay by the way) and realized that being penetrated by a average size dick felt really good. Any more is probably excessive. Some females do get into cervix penetration though. That's why some people are into fisting. It's just a turn on for some people. Eh.

There's, um, a number of other reasons some women like fisting besides the fact they might (or might not) want thier cervix penetrated.
;)

I actually like good descriptions of the character's physicality, but not neccesarily saying the character has huge breasts or a 12 inch dick. I base most of my female characters partially (note- I said PARTIALLY!) on myself, and myself being a very short (four foot nine) and curvy woman, I tend to make my female characters so. I usually don't make girls with small breasts, simply because my female lovers have all been quite endowed. The gentlemen lovers I have had are similar in the way that none have been quite normal. One had a seven incher, one had 10 inches (I measured) and my current lover has nine inches. So have no experience with a man of more average perportion.

I am also one of the VERY few women who does NOT get off on clitoral stimulation. Only penetration does it for me. Strange, I know, but that's me, so in MY fantasies, size is important cause I am kind of a size queen. :)

I usually write fantasies for my self first, then others second. Reading other people's stories, I have never put myself in a role in the story. I dunno why, I just don't.

My 2 cents, I guess.

By the way, I have been gone a while. How is everyone?

11 inches and kazongas

I have really enjoyed this discussion. I myself am not into pain, and 7-inches is the upper limit I can enjoy at all. I can actually get a bit acrobatic with an "average"-sized partner, and that is actually my preference. I don't like anything hitting my cervix, as it hurts, and I prefer a partner with slender equipment. Go figure.

I have a friend who just went from a 40FFF bosom to a 40C, and she is absolutely thrilled not to have the backaches that come with such an endowment anymore. And I can't blame her for that. I have never once envied her those large breasts.

It is nice to meet other people who appreciate stories in which there are no specific dimensions posted, so that the reader can more easily identify with the pertinent character, and perhaps visualize someone of their choice as the sexual partner. I think it adds an inclusive quality to the story that draws people in.

I have not met any extremely endowed men myself, but I do know they are out there and that there are women who love what they've got. I can't, as I'm not built for it myself. But vive le difference!

I think that any man or woman reading these inclusive stories can easily endow the person with whatever equipment they personally find attractive. There is a fiction writer, Amanda Quick, aka Jayne Ann Krentz, who writes that the heroine is unsure about the hero because he seems so large she doesn't think it will fit. Now what she thinks is large could be average, or it may actually be smaller or larger than that. This tends to allow the reader to visualize to their own conception of "rather large" but still exciting and workable for themselves.

This message board will be very helpful in tailoring my submissions to people I'd like to write for. To be honest, I'm not interested in writing for someone who wants a specific range or size, but more for the readers who like what I like, and isn't that why this entire site exists?

There is something for everyone here. I've found stories I hate, , and others I love, and other people disagree with me totally. I like that.

Cheers,

Senschal

Hmm......

Is 8 ok? (lol)

Uh, I don’t necessarily think it’s a ‘guy’ thing.
From my perspective, I and many of those I speak too - LOVE the extreme. Huge dicks are extreme. Women who gush explosive squirting orgasms are ‘extreme’. Part of the intent of erotica is to take you were you haven’t maybe been (or enhance where you have). You can go down to any corner store and get your 5 inch penis to please you. And if that’s what you’re looking for, and can do – why are you reading erotica?

Also, some people don’t read erotica to ‘put themselves’ into the story. They prefer the voyeur angle. And that’s why they need healthy description.

Just another angle, eh…..

(That said, I don’t think I mention actual inches much. Unless a character in the story asked it in dialogue. So I’m not necessarily defending that. Though it DOES turn me on that a woman wants a big one - It IS probably more appropriate to use terms rather than specifics. So the reader can make their own comfortable assumptions.)

Can’t please EVERYone.

The Voyeur Angle

Very good point there, about voyeurism, and the desire for detail to satisfy voyeurs.

There are many reasons to read erotica, and many reasons to prefer a flesh-and-blood partner to a rubber dildo or even worse, a hard plastic one (that's just my opinion on them). There are areas of erotica that I enjoy that most people don't. I'm pretty lucky in that my man and I agree on our kinks, but I sure do like to see what other people are up to out there.

I also like reading erotica because it provides a different perspective, a different way of seeing things, and new ideas, among other things. Plus the option of visiting whatever sites I'd like without having to walk into the neighborhood porn store and browse forever.

Even on the web, voyeur's delights will be sitting side by side with high-falutin' literary writing, and isn't that the way it should be? I'm not the only one out there that likes the general descriptions, but then, you're not the only one out there that likes the specific, either. There's more than enough bandwidth out there for everyone, don't you think?

But it may be nice if there was a way to label the stories to help me find the ones I'm looking for without wading thru so many of the others, and to help you find what you are looking for without wading thru so many that I would like.

Is there any way to accomplish that task, and streamline our finding what "floats our boat" more quickly?

I'm not going to stop browsing here just because I'm not as much of a voyeur as others. This is the best site I've found for the things I enjoy, and that's saying something, because I'm very picky, just like a lot of other people.

Good evening,

Senschal

i would agree with those that like to leave most to the imagination.
that goes for clitoral size too.
while the 1" x 0.5" prolly exists. i am sure glad i don't have one!!!

Samantha

When I first started writing I thought that giving the size was part of the routine. Now, I leave it out and I think my readers prefer that.

I'll stay with some description

If you read the ads in www.florida resourses.com you will note that many couples or woman looking for a man will state in their ad that he must be hung, or no less then eight inches.

Many woman have never had a man fill her, and don't know any orgasm except a clitoris induced one. What is not understood by
many is that the vagina is an extension of the clitoris. When the entire thing is being stretched and moved as well as the direct clitoris stimulation, the resulting orgasm is more pronounced.

While we are on the subject of descriptions, I would like to add that when a man and a woman decide that they love each other, in their minds the other is beautiful. Ten years and twenty pounds later that may not be the case, but the reader remembers that moment of love. I try to bring it back for them with a description.

I agree with KM when your 4 ft 11 in having a big dick in you damn hurts I should know OUCH!I do like reading Erotic Stories about the well hung guy but that's as far as it goes.

Go Figure?

Hi The Brat,

I have had a lot of experience swinging. One thing you may be interested in is that the height of the girl seems to have no connection to the depth of her purse. I know a 4' 11'' gal that can and will take any cock. Her ad asks for eight plus inches.

I know a 6'2" girl that will not take anything over 6". Go figure?

This jerk would stop or take no for an answer until I slugged him he had a jaw of glass.

Eeek! Will do ? I don't often get to see the words "normal", "7-inch dick" and "will do" in the same sentence. I'm afraid to play in YOUR sandbox :D

Now, this is an interesting point. The longer I write, the less these "anomalous" (I LOVE that word! If I use it 10 times in a sentence, can it be mine?) appendages creep up. However, I can tell you that when they do, they are treated more as an oddity than as the norm.

Also, they almost always show up as a a result of a direct request of a female reader. I gues it's kind of like a car wreck; you know it's gross, but you just gotta look.

Now... at a 14-inch dick, I absolutely draw the line!

In fact a 5-inch dick with a 5-inch girth...

I'll say it again...that is one scary sandbox!
