01/18/01 Misty Mornin' Rain

It's a beautiful misty morning here in the ATL. We have the kind of mist that you have to look into a street light to see, a real fine, vaporizer mist hanging in the air today. Hitting an 8 on the scale. Now I'm going to read a couple of stories KillerMuffin found for me. It is going to be a good day, I can just tell.

Uber morning to all....

Was in a minor earthquake yesterday and didn't even fully realize it until I saw the news last night. Weird. Earthquake in the Big Apple.

Spent the night at Smith Mountain Lake here in SW VA,,, awoke this morning around 6 to a fine mist falling and highlighting the tree branches,,, some misplaced geese were chatting with each other as they winged overhead,,, the lake was nearly perfectly calm with the ripples being from the fish leaping to gather in their breakfast,,,

As the daylight broke across the lake, the shore line was transformed from vague dark shadows with points of light to a palatte of muted hazy colors and all the shades of gray.

Temp is parked at 39 deg. F.,,, just cool enough to be pleasant with a sweater and to make a fire a welcome addition to the morning coffee.

It's great to be alive on days like this. Place me at a perfect 10.0 on the Spark-o-meter.

Mornin' got the boys off to school and hopped back in bed. My little munchkin just woke up so I just woke up too.

I love rainy/misty days, they are so go for sleeping or cuddling up.

Misty rain here too. I'm sick and at home in bed. I couldn't sleep and have had my fill of daytime television so...here I am. Anyone have anything they want to talk about? Entertain me, people. I'm bored!
