I have a kid who moved to Alaska recently, and I still have to wrap my head around the time zone thing where her lunchtime is my dinner time. It’s not like time zones are a foreign concept to me, but I still find myself checking the time in Alaska and going “Oh yeah…that’s right.”

Yeah, but you’ve got the most beautiful landscapes, great hiking, and amazing fishing to make up for it. I absolutely fell in love with Alaska after spending a month up there. Catching and eating trout and salmon that fresh was like heaven. We’d have a fire going near the beach and would be cleaning, cooking, and eating fish within minutes of catching it. I can’t wait to go back.
