I’m lying in bed and watching a documentary about Doomsday Preppers. I do appreciate that it’s good to be prepared for various emergencies. But how are we supposed to afford all the prepping supplies, etc?

I want to punch my stepbrother in the face. He came down to see my dad after I told him he was sick. He's spent the entire day talking to him, my dad hasn't been able to rest so he can heal; now he's worn out. My mom is stressed and had a meltdown after he left. Next time, I'll wait to give him information or tell him he's got two hours to visit. It's not as if he comes down any other time.
