Highlighters and gel pens! Making those notes look good!

Pens. I love a good pen. I have hundreds of pens around the house and my wife learned long ago not to let me go into an office supply store unsupervised. I don't need the fanciest, most expensive pen in the world, but a nice solid pen that writes well with a smooth stroke is a thing of beauty.

Ok do you have a brand preference? Because I have strong feelings on this. 🖊

I like Sharpie S-Gels and Uni-Ball Vision pens. I'm a sucker for thick, bold stroke.

I always used the gelly roll sakura pens but I think I'd really like the color Technik ones if
I could find them.

Ooh I love a new notebook. Also a nice pencil case and a shiny new pens and things to go in it.
I love the possibility of what I could do with them all.

I won't mention the stack of barely started notebooks hidden around the house...

Oh I just remembered when I was in my calligraphy phase and insisted on using a fountain pen to do all my work. The ink cartridges leaked constantly but I needed to suffer for my art

they were stylish, fancy, relatively expensive notebooks to hold your folders and loose leaf paper back in the 80s and 90s. all the cool kids had them. i had a single mom, so we couldn't afford one every year, but i loved going to the school supply section when she took us to walmart or target or kmart and trying to find the perfect trapper keeper.

they always gave us book covers and we have to cover our books for every class. that or they gave us brown paper bags and it became a craft project, haha. the covers could never stay as perfect as i wanted them though.

My dad always took on brown grocery bag covering of text books like he was using them as an application to architecture college. They were precision cut with exacto knives and precisely taped.
